cube boutique hotel HOSPITALITY DESIGN
CUBE Inspired by the cubicle hotels of Japan and Europe, Cube brings an exciting lodging experience to Seattle’s Capital Hill. This adaptive reuse project transforms a former auto repair shop into a lucrative business for the resident and owner of the Melrose Square building. The design is inspired by the greenery that can be seen growing in the cracks and up walls in Seattle’s city center. The overlap of natural and built is conveyed in the design through the many asymmetrical compositions of symmetrical objects.
