Valedictorians

ACE Bradyn DebysinghValedictorian has successfully completed 11 advanced placement classes/exams with a GPA of 4.40. Bradyn is the president of the National Honor Society, and an AP Scholar with Distinction. In addition, Bradyn has been a performer with CGHS, Shedd, Storybook and Cottage Theatres, where his love for the performing arts was instilled from a young age. Bradyn was accepted into the honors program at Samford University in Birmingham, AL where he will pursue a double major in Musical Theatre and Classical Languages. He is eternally grateful to his God, parents, teachers, friends, and all those who have helped him reach this graduation milestone at ACE. Soli Deo Gloria.

COTTAGE GROVE HIGH SCHOOL Jessica Ray Parents: Wendy Noble and Michael Ray Jessica plans to attend the University of Oregon to pursue a career in teaching. She has been an ESL tutor and involved with Cross Country and Spanish Club NORTH DOUGLAS Valedictorian is Molly Forbes. She is the daughter of Tony and Mandi Forbes of Drain. Molly plans on attending Linn-Benton Community College to get certified to be a veterinary assistant. Molly is the Student Council president, National Honor Society president, has been on the high honor roll all four years, volunteer for the Red Cross blood drives and played on the softball team her sophomore year.

YONCALLA Kathleen Hunter is the class valedictorian. She is the daughter of Matt and Lisa Hunter. Her academic record is complete with accomplishments that reflect her outstanding skills in all academic areas. Kathleen is an honor student who has been on the Honor Roll every semester from 9th through 12th grade. She is currently taking advantage of the Expanded Options program offered through the Yoncalla School District. This program allows her to get high school credit and college credit simultaneously. Since entering the program, she has accumulated enough credits to receive her high school diploma and graduate from Umpqua Community College with her AAOT. She has challenged herself by taking college level classes such as Writing 121 and 122, Calculus 1 and 2, Psychology, Government and Economics. She has also been involved in a volunteer activities such as working at the Roseburg library and helping at the Umpqua Audubon Society. Kathleen has a variety of interests. She loves Hawaiian Dance and performs for the Aulani Huyla Halau. She also plays the piano and ukulele and teaches piano lessons, and in her spare time she tends to her blueberry garden. When asked about her favorite class Kathleen replied,“I enjoyed all of the dual credit classes. The fact that I was able to take high school and college classes at the same time made it a positive experience. Also, it’s a bonus to get my high school diploma along with my AAOT!!” Her post-secondary aspirations include getting her AAOT from UCC and transferring to OIT and studying environmental science. Her long term goal is to become a Marine Biologist.
