W.O.E. HERITAGE FAIR 2017

Gene Campbell Memorial Lumberjack Show For years Gene Campbell worked tirelessly for the Western Oregon Exposition, Inc. better known as the W.O.E. Fair. He came to Cottage Grove from Chehalis, Washington, married a local, Anella Martin, and had six children. Gene was a timber faller, owned a farm and also was a member of the London Grange. Around 1968 he organized one of the first Logging shows for the W.O.E. Fair, a tradition that carries on

today. He was passionate about preserving the heritage and history of the area's logging traditions. For over 40 years Gene organized and helped run the logging show. Without his commitment and tireless effort there would be no fair or logging show. The Cottage Grove community owes a great deal of thanks to this dedicated citizen. We of the W.O.E. honor him by continuing the tradition of logging with the Gene Campbell Memorial Lumberjack Show.

Cowboy Cadillac W.O.E. welcomes Cowboy Cadillac Where Bakersfield meets Nashville… Band members describe their music as “a balance between studio-slick and devil-may-care-sloppiness, with equal parts Southern Rock, 50’s R&B, Louisiana Swamp Rock, with a modern country swagger.” Cowboy Cadillac’s music is real spit-and- sawdust country rock with tremendously gritty vocals and scything guitars. They play smokin’ country and rockabilly tunes and originals. It’s country with an edge!
