Urgent Need: Foster Care Parents! Hundreds of lives have been saved so far because of the Coulee Region Humane Society’s Foster Care program. Since its implementation nearly three years ago, nearly 1,000 animals have received care through the program. More than 500 animals received foster care through the humane society last year; numbers surpass 300 this year. Orphaned neonate kittens, who, left alone, cannot survive, are the most common animals in need of foster care. The Coulee Region Humane Society has taken in dozens of litters this year so far and is always in need of help. Foster care is the most direct way you can impact the life of a shelter animal.
