World Book Day At NJB
It’s that time of year again as Not Just Books are taking part in the national campaign to swap the World Book Day £1 book token for one of the TWELVE exclusive, new and completely FREE World Book Day Books! Not only that, but World Book Day is celebrating its 25th year on 3rd March 2022.
We’re very excited to be working with some of our local schools as well to ensure as many young people as possible get hold of their free World Book Day book as reading is such an important part of our young peoples’ development. With the core message of “You Are A Reader”, World Book Day has a particular focus on reaching children from disadvantaged backgrounds. In its 25th year, World Book Day will highlight the importance of all children having the opportunity to own and be inspired by inclusive stories, written by authors and illustrators who are representative of the society we live in. Book Now For Family Egg Hunt
A family-friendly Easter Egg hunt returns in April after a two-year break due to covid. The popular event, organised by Thetford Toy Library is due to take place on Saturday 9th April 2022. It’s the 20th year that its been held and the sixth to take place at the Charles Burrell Centre. There will be a new style ticket system with one ticket for all ages. All egg hunting takes place outside and there will be a special visit from the Easter Bunny! When you book you can select a preferred start time from 10am through until 2pm. When you’ve completed your hunt, be sure to hand back your completed entry to be in with a chance of winning some ‘eggcellent’ sports equipment. Every person taking part receives a big chcocolate egg and there may well be some extra gifts available from the Easter bunny. Entrance is the £2.50 a ticket and the tickets are available now from Thetford Toy Library which is based at the Charles Burrell Centre.
