World Book Day At Not Just Books It’s that time of year again as Not Just Books are taking part in the national campaign to swap the World Book Day £1 book token for one of the TWELVE exclusive, new and completely FREE World Book Day Books! Not only that, but World Book Day is celebrating its 25th year on 3rd March 2022. We’re very excited to be working with some of our local schools as well to ensure as many young people as possible get hold of their free World Book Day book as reading is such an important part of our young peoples’ development. With the core message of “You Are A Reader”, World Book Day has a particular focus on reaching children from disadvantaged backgrounds. In its 25th year, World Book Day will highlight the importance of all children having the opportunity to own and be inspired by inclusive stories, written by authors and illustrators who are representative of the society we live in. Did you know that:
• In 2021, 1 in 5 children receiving free school meals said the book they ‘bought’ with their WBD book token was the first book they had of their own
