Yukon For Sale Narrated by Canadian Country music singer

George Canyon Entertainment’s CMT (Canada) is buying into real estate with the new series Yukon For Sale, premiering Saturday, June 13 at 9 p.m. ET / 6 p.m. PT. Produced by Proper Television in association with CMT, the 13 x 30-minute series puts the “real” in real estate as Yukoners ditch the typical luxuries found on most house-hunting wish lists for magnificent views of the Northern Lights, acres of property for hunting and fishing, and the perfect outhouse. In each episode of Yukon For Sale, viewers meet house hunting Yukoners, both native and newbies to the north, who are in search of unique properties to satisfy their northern living needs. Whether it’s a young couple seeking an off-the-grid existence, hunters with their sights set on a backyard full of game, or urban professionals hoping to find a condo in the middle of a northern town, finding the perfect pad is always an adventure in the Yukon, where moose outnumber people by two to one. Canadian Country music singer George Canyon narrates this wild real estate ride that takes viewers out into the middle of North America’s untamed wilderness.

SnakeBite … put a little kick in your country! “SnakeBite… That doesn’t sound like a country band…” If I had a dollar for every time I heard someone say this to me over the last ten years… states Marty Marsh one the founding members of SnakeBite. Marty started SnakeBite in 2004 along with lead singer Paul Lowry in the small Ontario town Bothwell of which Marty grew up in and Paul moved to in his late teens. Originally from the Wingham, On area Paul loved to sing but only in his car but one night at Karaoke in a small town bar Paul got up and sang Travis Tritt’s Country Club. As soon as the first notes of “I took a double take out on the interstate…” came out of his mouth everyone in the bar did just that, the talking stopped and every head turned to see who owned the sweet country voice that was permeating through the speakers. Paul who was dubbed “Snake” as everybody from Bothwell has some sort of nick name joined forces with Marty on guitar and they started playing campgrounds and parties as a duo… they needed a name and although there is more than one story on how the band got name “SnakeBite” but Paul insists that Marty and himself came to each other with an idea to use the name “Snakebite” almost simultaneously. SnakeBite was off and slithering… James Vermue (Bass), Eric

Demunyck (Guitar) and Chatham’s own Shawn Tasker (Drums) solidified the group as they played all across Ontario and had the fortune of opening for some major country stars such as Blake Shelton, George Canyon, Jodee Messina, Dean Brody and the Kentucky Head Hunters. In 2014 they captured their first major award as they were named “London’s Best Country Group” and experienced a thrill of having played the London Music Awards along with Canada’s quintessential heavy metal band Helix! My Road is the name of the new CD which contains 7 songs written by Marty with the help of the guys in the band and 3 co-written by Marty and a couple friends. The first single “All Night Long” cracked the Top 100 on the Canadian Country Radio BDS Chart as it peaked at #81 and was nominated by New Country Music Association for “Song of the Year” for independent country artists. CFCO 92.9 the country station in Chatham has been playing the debut song from SnakeBite for over a year now and I still get texts from people every time they play it saying “I just heard your song on the radio” it is a great feeling let me tell you” says Marty. Scott McQuaig produced and engineered the CD and helped the guys put the “kick” in their country as the SnakeBite sound is a mixture of rock and roll guitars blended with steel guitar, banjo and the sweet country voice that Paul has been blessed with. When asked about why the CD was titled “My Road” it was an easy decision states Lowry “all the guys in the band have taken a “long and winding road” to get where we are today and like the song says “My Road is busted and broken… My Road is mine” we have no regrets we are just thrilled to be writing, recording

and playing music.” May 21st is the date the CD will be available to the world via iTunes and you can pre-order it on April 23rd and if you do you will get an instant download of one of the songs off the CD. Work Boots by day... Cowboy Boots by night Paul Lowry has been punching a clock every day since he was a teenager working in the manufacturing industry is the only day job he has ever known. Paul trades his steel toed work boots in for his trusted snakeskin cowboy boots at night fronting his country band SnakeBite. Paul has been the lead singer for SnakeBite since its inception in 2005 when he started the band along with along with his friend Marty Marsh in his adopted hometown of Bothwell, ON. Paul currently works at AP Plasma in Windsor and is amused when co-workers find out that he sings in a country band. Paul starts to chuckle as he states, “the people I work with usually don’t associate my work mannerisms with me being a singer of a country band... sometimes I will let them listen to one of our original demo songs and they look at me in disbelief.” The band started to take off in 2011 as they opened for some pretty big country stars including The Kentucky Head Hunters at the

Boothill Country Jamboree near Bothwell, On and superstar Blake Shelton at “Music in the Fields” festival in Lucknow, On. “SnakeBite started as a cover band but early on our guitar player Marty would come to me with ideas for original songs... now if you think working in a factory all day is hard you should try and write songs with Marty. He has great riffs, great ideas but the poor guy cannot carry a tune in a bucket.” joked Lowry. We would work together on his original songs and after awhile the melody he was trying to convey started to resonate with me and they become part of our set list. The guys in the band noticed that right from the first time we played a few SnakeBite songs the people in the audiences were tapping their toes, bobbing their heads and by the middle of the song singing along. This gave us the confidence to set out a goal to write and record a full length CD. It has been a long journey getting it done but we have completed the recording process and we are extremely excited for people to hear the end product. The title track is called “My Road” epitomizing the road I took to get to where I am today. The chorus rings very true “My Road is long and winding, it has taken me some time, my road is busted broken but My Road... My Road is mine”. As Paul talks about being born the 2nd child of 4 you can hear the emotion in his voice when he tells about how his world was shattered. Only 12 years old his dad left him, his siblings and their mother with barely enough money for food. In his teen years looking after his

siblings while working 40 hours a week there was no time let alone extra money to think about any type of music career. I basically laid that dream to rest and focused on getting an education. I met Marty in my late teen years and we both had a love for music. Marty played guitar in a local band and we talked to about putting together a country band but “the road” we were both on curved as we both started families and music had to be put on the back burner once again. In 2005 our kids were older and we had both worked our way up in our respective occupations and we decided to learn a couple “country” songs as duo to play at a party as a whim. It ignited the passion that was deep inside both of us and led us to forming a full 5 piece band. We have been checking off bucket lists items for a decade now. SnakeBite added bass player James Vermue from the London area in 2007 and his ability to sing and write harmonies added a whole new dimension to the band. Eric Demuynck a graduate of the OIART program along with drummer Shawn Tasker helped shape the sound that allowed us to win London’s Best Country Band in 2014. “All Night Long” our first single cracked the Top 100 on National Canadian Country Radio peaking at #81 on the Nielson BDS chart. It sounds like SnakeBite put 100% of their heart and soul in this record and they know the odds are against an independent band selling enough to recoup a fraction of the money it costs to record a full length CD. Day after day when the alarm clock goes off, Paul Lowry will wake up and do what he has always done he just doesn’t know what boots he will be wearing that day!

Born in Saint John, NB, and raised in Calgary Jacquie came from a musical family. Her debut CD in 2008, Rolling Wind, was met with excellent media reviews, including a “Top 12 DIY” selection in Nashville’s Performing Songwriter Magazine. It also gained radio airplay on CBC, CKUA and Golden West Radio. Jacquie’s second album, Red Hot Candy Heart, was added to over 40 independent/campus radio stations across Canada in early 2011, reaching #4 on Earshot’s national folk/roots/blues chart. She has also toured and performed in venues all over Canada to promote the album. “Drew's got a rocking band here, with lots of hot guitar solos, fiddle fills, organ washes and a great trumpet solo on the cocktail jazz of Galaxy Girl. It provides a staunch backup for Drew's strong voice and her no-nonsense lyrics." -STAR-PHOENIX/Saskatoon, SK “We were impressed by her two earlier records, Rolling Wind and Red Hot Candy Heart, and she sustains that quality level here, with the aid of ace band The Crew." -NEWMUSICCANADA

Carla Bonnell, The Liberator (folk, blues, country, bluegrass and roots)

Canadian recording artist Carla Bonnell brings depth, diversity and colourful storytelling into play with her songwriting talents, that touch on folk, blues, country, bluegrass and roots elements that fuse together to become her special and unique contribution to the music scene. As a singer-songwriter, Bonnell wears her heart on her sleeve, which is channeled through her lyrics that express universal themes that everyone can relate to. As a follow-up to her 2013 Nashville recordings, an inspirational Country release called "Back To You", Carla felt a calling to go back to her roots in the Maritimes and craft a very earthy collection of songs and record in the region where her and her

musical family have flourished, for many generations. Thus her 2014 album release titled "Liberator" was recorded in Nova Scotia and produced by journeyman east coast performer J.P. Cormier (Jimmy Rankin, Rita McNeil). The album is a testament to her tenacity to be herself and share her thoughts and stories with fan base that has grown in various regions of Canada via her live performances in British Columbia, Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick and Nova Scotia, including the "New Brunswick Country Music Showcase" concert series. Carla Bonnell has performed with band members of Johnny Cash and Roy Orbison on some of these select tour dates, who embraced her natural talent and stage energy, as well as live performance collaborations with Juno Award winner Lawrence Martin. With numerous radio interviews and airplay for her Nashville release, Bonnell subsequently took her career to a new level with a national radio campaign for "Liberator" along with live performances in cities that embraced the new release. To date, “Liberator” can now be heard from coast to coast on over 30 radio stations (and still counting) and has charted on a number of Top 10 Roots/Folk charts including CFUV (Kamloops, BC), CJSF (Burnaby, BC), CFBX (Kamloops, BC), CFRC (Kingston, ON) and CIBL (Montreal, QC). “This CD is a must for everyone's musical library states … Carla wears her heart on her sleeve, which is channeled through her lyrics that express universal themes that everyone can relate to.” -ATLANTIC SEABREEZE
