We’ve been in business 54 years with lots of different towing options available. Don & Linnea still work every day. Silvia works the front office.

Burden’s Muffle & Towing Service is a third generation Tillamook business.

Burden’s Muffler Towing & Crane Service Inc. is a third generation Tillamook business, that was started in 1970 by Don & Linnea Burden when Sylvia was 6 months old. Don first had the Texaco station at the North entry to downtown Tillamook. Eventually Don wanted more room and purchased the Enco Station directly across the street. Don had a pit built in the one end of the shop and added on to the building for two more work bays, with a fenced yard in the back for wrecked vehicles. Their daughter Sylvia worked during her school years and eventually full time. Rick was basically raised at the business and just enjoys convincing Dad to purchase more trucks to add to our fleet. We currently have three crane trucks and have added a semi & landoll trailer to the fleet. Jeremy & Justin Schriber (Sylvia’s) boys have both joined the family business, Jeremy while still and High School, and Justin after completing West Coast Training for Crane Trucks and was put to work with us full time in 2020.

Main Grandstands

Saturday night at the Tillamook County Fair means demolition derby, and for the last 25 years, Havoc Productions, LLC has hosted one of the best around.

An experience unlike any other, watch as drivers purposefully crash their entry cars into one another until an official determines a winner. Hear the roaring engines, smell the exhaust fumes, and see the destruction in person. This is a must-see event for the whole family - just don’t forget to bring hearing protection for you and the little ones.

Is it just a game, or are they gambling?

Youth exposure to gambling puts them at risk for la ter problems with gambling and addiction.

Features like loot boxes and spin-to-win allow players to spend real money for the possibility of winning in-game goods. That’s gambling. Other games allow players to play casino-style games, like poker and blackjack, with in-game currency. Many video games replicate gambling, and even offer the opportunity for youth to gamble.

of Tillamook County 11th graders report having participated in internet/online gambling activities*

Girl Named Tom

Wed. Aug. 7th @ 8 p.m.

Opening the 2024 Tillamook County Fair’s concert series Wednesday August 7th is the band, Girl Named Tom.

Three siblings unlock one harmony to unite the world as Girl Named Tom. The trio— Bekah, Joshua, and Caleb Liechty—notably made history as “the only group to ever win NBC’s The Voice.” Along the way, they’ve impressively generated over 25 million of streams across chart-rattling covers such as “River,” “The Chain,” and “Dust in the Wind.”

The proud Midwesterners gained further traction with the independent release of Another World EP. Inking a deal with Republic Records, they served up their debut holiday EP, One More Christmas, which reached #1 on the iTunes Charts, and embarked on a massive arena tour supporting Pentatonix for “A Christmas Spectacular.”Since 2022 they

group has been living life on the road performing over 200 shows to date. The sibling trio has captivated millions on television, appearing on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, singing for the Indy500, and returning for a heart wrenching performance on The Voice Finale a year after their win. Their inimitable harmony will only continue to resound louder with the 2023 release of the single “What A View” and with new music on the way in 2024.

Kameron Marlowe closes out the Tillamook County Fair’s concert series on Friday night, August 9th.

Sometimes he can’t even believe it.

With nearly 300 million on-demand streams, believers at country radio and the support of over a dozen digital tastemakers – Spotify, Amazon Music and Pandora among them – Kameron Marlowe has exploded onto the country scene, emerging as the bigvoiced authentic talent modern fans crave. But if you ask the humble everyman himself, he’ll tell you straight up: He never saw this coming.

“I didn’t think I had what it took to be an artist,” says the all-natural singer-songwriter, blessed as he is with a tender, dynamic vocal growl. “So, I took a different route at first.”

Lucky for everyone, all roads lead to destiny. Now signed

to Columbia Nashville and standing on the verge of a bright future, the North Carolina native is right where he belongs – in the spotlight. It just took a few twists and turns to get here. For more information about the artist, please visit: https:// kameronmarlowe.com/
