A Letter from the Mayor Lincoln City is a beautiful and welcoming place. And, like the rest of our country, we are dealing with economic challenges. Best of all, people are willing to take a leap of faith in Lincoln City, whether moving here to start a business or buying a home in our community. Several local businesses have expanded, both in facilities and staff. For instance, Chinook Winds Casino Resort remodeled their motel and restaurant. incoln City is located on the scenic Oregon Coast at the 45th parallel, situated 11 feet above sea level. It is bordered by 680-acre Devils Lake and the Coast Range on the east and the Pacific Ocean on the west. Lincoln City boasts 7Â˝ miles of beautiful, clean sandy beaches, the Salmon River to the north and the Siletz Bay and River to the south. Lincoln City enjoys a mild maritime climate, has a thriving retirement community and is a popular tourist destination. Excitement at Chinook Winds Casino Resort

wned and operated by the Confederated Tribes of Siletz Indians, Chinook Winds Casino Resort and the Siletz Tribe together form the largest employer in Lincoln County. Located in Lincoln City, the Casino is the hub of employment for the area and as such has an enormous impact on the economy. All of the events Chinook Winds Casino Resort promote benefit the Oregon Coast as well as the Resort itself just by the nature of drawing people to the area. Members of the staff are encouraged to take part in community-wide activities. Often the Casino staff form teams to participate in charitable fundraisers, food drives, culinary competitions and other charitable events. Chinook Winds Casino spearheads and assists in the development of many community wide events such as the Celebration of Honor, the last weekend in September, an event that honors veterans of the armed forces and active duty personnel and their families. Sponsorship is provided and/or donations made to nearly all of the community events throughout the year. Most Special Events at Chinook Winds include a component that provides funding for local charitable organizations. Since 1995 Chinook Winds Casino Resort has been recognized for its many contributions made to better the environment and the community including recognition as a Visionary Partner in the Pacific Power Green Power Partnership program.

The Siletz Tribe is proud of its contributions through employment, monetary donations and cooperative measures to Lincoln County and the state of Oregon. The Seven Pearls of LincolnCity DELAKE

Known for having the shortest river in the world, D River, this area has a variety of restaurants and shops. D River Wayside is the place you’ll find a host of folks flying kites and enjoying good beach access. The Lincoln City Cultural Center is located in the former Delake school and is host to art exhibits, events and musical performances throughout the year.

CUTLER CITY

Located between Salishan and Taft, Cutler City is a quiet beach community. A great place to gallery and antique shop. The internationally known Freed Gallery brings people from all over the world to the area.

Most convenient beach access is right down SW 51st Street. The area has been refurbished and is home to hotels, small beach shops, galleries, restaurants and even a microbrewery. The Jennifer Sears Glass Studio and The North Lincoln County Historical Museum are also located in Taft.

About five miles south of Lincoln City is the Salishan area, located in Gleneden Beach. Salishan has a gated community of lovely homes on the spit and the hillside of Highway 101. Gleneden Beach is a quiet, homey neighborly community, known for its huge July 4th Parade. The area is home to Salishan Spa & Golf Resort, too.
