“Most people have a good roof, it’s just one or two small things up top that need to be looked at and maintained,” he said.

With summer quickly approaching, now is the best time to examine your roof and call for service, prior to the snowy winters ahead.

Roofing problems rear their ugly heads in a variety of ways including spotting on the ceiling, especially along the walls. Anywhere that has a new construction that’s connected to a house, those usually drip the most, Walron said. Obvious physical signs also indicate a need for service, such as missing shingles or wood shakes and cracks along the edges of walls.

Thank You Thank you for all the good wishes, cards and special gifts I received upon retiring. In my lifetime, I’ve worn many hats. I started out as a farm kid in Minnesota, and yes, I still love old tractors. My hobby is collecting antique tools. I was a Lutheran pastor in the western Dakotas for many years, and I retired in Amidon in 2002.

My wife, Carolyn and I owned and operated a grocery store in Amidon from 1982-1994. She is the chairman of the Amidon Centennial. She still plays wild music on the piano. We have three children and six grandchildren.
