Agritrade’s agency, Ideation, chose the back page gate-fold in the Autumn 2024 issue to make a bold statement about their Time Capsule product over the crucial facial eczema season. Their artwork covered both the inside back and outside back cover, with a double-sided 100mm fold that many farmers reported they used as a bookmark.

What is Partnership Editorial vs Exclusive Advertising?

Partnership editorial is not advertorial or supplied copy. Our editors are open to this marketing on the condition they write the copy allowing it to conform to the overall style of the magazine. A final proof will be supplied for approval.

This written content in both the magazine and online is identified as partnership editorial with the header ‘In Partnership with [your company name]’.

T hought Leadership MARKETING

Do you have a story about your brand that you would love to shout from the rooftops?

Relying on your PR company to get free editorial is very difficult these days and sponsored content or advertorial-type stories can waste the opportunity to make an impact with yawn-inducing stories that don’t garner clicks (online) or engagement with readers.

Why? Because they are usually written by a marketer not a journalist and published out of context.

Getting anything other than an advertisement in Dairy Exporter previously, was notoriously challenging. But in 2024, with the development of Partnership Editorial as a product with our editorial and sales teams working together, we are excited to offer you this opportunity that’s an all round win-win-win.

What makes the best partnership editorial?

Timely, relevant solutions-led content that helps bring value to the farmer without selling a product or service. The best partnership editorial includes quotes from technical experts as well as farmers, such as showcasing research or an onfarm success story with good economic stats such as ROI analysis.

DELIVERABLES

Choose a Full page (400 words) or Double Page (800 words) article written by our journalists (with your final approval) and your supplied photography. The article is written from supplied material and a phone interview.

Includes both print and online editorial which you can embed video, podcast and links into provided free to our website audience.

Online editorial is a fantastic way to increase your search engine optimization (SEO) and to include back links to your website.

KEY THING TO NOTE

The booking deadline is earlier than the ad booking deadline as we need time to write and approve.

The content is at the discretion of the editor and must fit our magazines overaching editorial objectives, policy and standard.

Case Study

Farmax took up the opportunity to have their Head of Product, Dr. Todd White, contribute thought leadership on the topic of making data driven decisions on farm to go alongside an editorial theme about modelling onfarm decisions with software tools to help make cost-control choices in the face of inflation. The article was then placed on the website with an interview embedded within the article that Sarah Perriam-Lampp did on The Dairy Exporter Podcast
