A tribute to David Denham and Allan Hidderley It is with great sadness that the Club announces the passing of two long-standing members, David Denham and Allan Hidderley. They will be greatly missed and we thank them for their contribution in helping run the Club over many years.
D
avid Denham was a member of the Club for many years. He held the position of Vice Chair in the West Country Group and hosted many rallies with friends. He then went on to join the Council of Management, working on several committees, becoming the National Rally Chairman for several successful Nationals. He recently stood down from CoM but this did not stop him from working for the benefit of members, acting as a supporting officer responsible for co-ordinating Certified Locations and Night Stops. As well as this, he acted as Secretary and Scribe for the West Country Group and was a committee member until the end. He was a popular person, willing to give a hand whenever he could and he will be sorely missed by the Group and the Membership Services Committee
of the Club. He was a family man and his three children, their partners, their children and stepchildren will find a large hole in their lives, as will his friends. We hope that knowing how much he will be missed will be of some comfort to his family at this sad time.

fter a long and hard fight against a brain cyst, the CoM sadly announces the passing of our hard-working and trusted colleague Allan Hidderley. Supported by Lynda, he first joined the Marshalling Team at Warners shows before he was unanimously voted on to CoM. Alan volunteered to put his considerable talents into different positions on CoM, always ensuring his work was carried out to a high standard. During his time on CoM, he took over as Head Show Marshal and National Rally Site Manager, building a good relationship with his team of volunteers. He also took on the role of Chair of Finance. Our sincere condolences go to Lynda and his family at this sad time. Council of Management.
