Q&A Look and feel your big-day best with advice from our local professionals

SUPPORT NETWORK I have a very full bust. What styles will suit me and how can I get the right support? Kendal says: For a fuller bust we recommend a gown with more structure in the bodice. This could come in the form of extra boning, a solid lining or additional straps. To minimise the bust it helps to take the eye up and out, so a strap at the shoulder or at the point of the shoulder with a gentle V-neckline works beautifully. If you can team this with a silhouette that elongates the torso and highlights the waist, such as a mermaid or A-line, you’ll feel amazing!

STAYING POWER My make-up rarely stays in place for a full working day, so I’m worried about it looking worse for wear by the speeches. What can I do to avoid this? Rebecca says: If a professional make-up artist as created your big-day look you’ve no need to worry! There are so many layers involved when we take the reins, as opposed to a normal day when you apply your own make-up. All the brushes we use are teamed up with primers and high-quality products to help it stay in place from dawn to dusk. My top tip would be to make sure you know your skin type so your artist can use the right products especially for you, and ask them to finish with a setting spray. Plus, it’s a good idea to keep a pressed powder to hand throughout the day to stay on top of any extra shine.
