FAMILY & FRIENDS Working in the oil field provides great opportunities to make a living, but more important than making a living is making a life with your family and friends. Brother’s Keepers remember that their safety impacts their loved ones and co-workers. The way we work determines our quality of life outside of work.

SAFE ON DAYS OFF Even our days off and time at home present opportunities to practice safety. We’ve seen time and time again that oil field training helps prevent accidents and can even save lives when practiced away from the job. Being a Brother’s Keeper means looking out for your friends and family away from work as well as making the most of opportunities to do good in the Community.

The Brother’s Keeper Initiative is how we demonstrate that the safety of our COVENANT FAMILY is our highest priority. Brother’s Keeper was born in the field with the focus of ensuring that our workforce stays safe both on the job and on the road. Brother’s Keeper is a company-wide commitment to holistic safety and is observed through a commitment to these four Brother’s Keeper Covenants.

BROTHER’S KEEPER FOCUS

COMMUNICATION

RESPONSIBILITY

SAFE ON THE ROAD

Brother’s Keepers make a covenant to stay in regular communication with their supervisor and team. They will seek approval before leaving a job site and check in upon return.

Brother’s Keepers make a covenant to uphold CTT’s QHSE policies including limiting driving as much as possible and keeping errand time in town to 2 hours.

Driving is the most dangerous thing that we do in the oil field. Well locations are on some of the most dangerous roadways in the country, and we need Brother’s Keepers to remind each other of the risk factors. Drivers who are tired, under the influence, not wearing seat belts or reckless increase the likelihood of an incident. When you add significant traffic and over-sized loads, accidents in and around the oil field tend to be serious in nature.

Brother’s Keepers will also stay in contact with the chain of command in the event of any incident, near miss or good catch using Hazard Scout.

Brother’s Keepers will also take responsibility to care for themselves and their co-workers by using good judgement when making decisions about hazardous driving and working conditions.

We want our Covenant Family to always be safe on the roadways.

RECOGNITION

ACCOUNTABILITY

SAFE ON LOCATION

Brother’s Keepers make a covenant to celebrate those who demonstrate a commitment to safety and exemplify Covenant’s Core Values.

Brother’s Keepers make a covenant to being accountable to doing the right things right. This means a commitment to both uphold and help others uphold the Covenant Core Values and to be recognized for your accomplishments and corrected for your mistakes.

Heavy equipment, large vehicles, high pressure and working in the elements are all factors that make working in the oil field dangerous.

Recognitions can be submitted through Hazard Scout (Good Catch/Near Hit), our website at: www.ctest.com/bk, through the anonymous BK call/text hotline or e-mail to: bk@ctest.com. Recognitions will be celebrated through awards and/or the Covenant Connection Newsletter.

A willingness to be both challenged and supported is the heart of being a Brother’s Keeper.

These factors are why we place such a strong emphasis on safety procedures to protect each other on location. Brother’s Keepers are aware of these realities and collaborate to ensure the safety of each and every team member.
