Hi Tim, tell us a bit about yourself. How did you get into this industry?

Growing up watching Backyard Blitz has a lot to answer for! I have always been passionate about design and build. From a young age, I spent weekends working on projects with my builder grandfather, igniting my interest in the industry and helping around the house with ongoing landscaping projects. After travelling for a year, I returned home in 2002 to pursue a career in Landscaping and Horticulture. Over the years, I acquired qualifications in Carpentry, Building, Project Management, and a Bachelor of Design and Technology.

We understand the overwhelming nature of navigating the planning stages, especially for inexperienced clients. Layers and natural materials. Creating a harmonious blend of materials is an essential aspect of any building project. Thoughtful planning is crucial to ensure that layers of materials complement each other and align with current design trends. What is your favourite part of the job?

What are the common pitfalls during a build and how can you avoid them?

One common issue in the construction industry is opting for quick and cheap options that compromise long-term durability. To maintain transparency, we utilise project management software to track expenses, provide budget updates, and communicate timelines. Regular reports and documentation allow clients to assess costs, progress, and make informed decisions.
