Whether it’s acquiring basic skills, enhancing water confidence, gaining fitness, or pursuing excellence in competitive swimming, the experts at NS Swim School are committed to assisting their swimmers in attaining these goals.

One of the hallmarks of NS Swim School’s success lies in the transformational journeys of their swimmers. A shining example is Samuel Higgs, a remarkable 16-yearold talent who has achieved incredible results, setting an impressive time in the 400m Individual Medley at the 2023 Age Nationals, emerging as the highest-ranked swimmer to be selected on the Commonwealth Games Youth Team, and Cameron, his coach, as one of only two coaches on the team representing Australia.

“Our hard work and dedication have paid off tremendously. Samuel’s inclusion in the Commonwealth Youth Games team, competing in Trinidad and Tobago in August, is a testament to his talent and the collective efforts of the NS Swim School community,” Cameron proudly exclaimed.

The team’s success wasn’t limited to Samuel alone. His younger brother, Luke, at just 14 years old, bagged an astounding six gold medals and a silver in his age group at the 2023 Age Nationals. Another rising star, Lachie Davies, solidified Warringah Aquatic Swim Club (WASC) the affiliated Club to NS Swim School, dominating in the freestyle category across multiple distances, sweeping the 50 and 100 freestyle events in the same age group. With 56 finalists, WASC achieved 4th place out of 204 clubs at the 2023 Australian Age Nationals.

The school’s commitment to excellence has propelled many of their swimmers to remarkable achievements. Their team’s participation in various national competitions such as the Australian

Age Nationals and open water events has consistently showcased their talent and determination. NS Swim School’s swimmers have risen to the top, securing impressive rankings and making their mark in the swimming world.

“We wanted our swimmers to not only excel in the pool but also learn important life skills. Hard work, time management, and teamwork are values we instil in them,” Cameron shared warmly.

By fostering a supportive community and focusing on the personal growth of each individual, no matter their age, Narelle and her exceptional team at NS Swim School has created a thriving ecosystem that empowers swimmers to unlock their full potential.

The achievements of NS Swim School would not have been possible without their continuous pursuit of innovation and adaptability. The school’s dedicated coaching team love finding innovative ways to keep their swimmers on track. Embracing technology, implementing small group training sessions, gym

sessions, and utilising alternative swimming venues like ocean pools and distance open water swimming at the beach, have all contributed to the school’s resilience and the continued success of their swimmers across all venues and age groups.

As NS Swim School continues to inspire and nurture swimmers of all abilities and ages, their unwavering commitment to excellence and the remarkable achievements of their swimmers serve as a testament to the transformative power of their coaching approach. With Narelle, Cameron, and the dedicated team leading the way, NS Swim School remains a beacon of success. •
