In Year 8 DT, Maritime lessons are focused on our local context and students have been applying their skills of planning to generate a plan for manufacture of their powerboat and researching a range of maritime focused careers in our local community.

Year 7 DT students 'talking like a scientist' whilst testing their hypotheses for what shape of hull is more or less hydrodynamic.

Year 7 Design Technology students are researching how to complete the different steps in the manufacturing process for their sailboats, taking on local expert knowledge.

Huge congratulations to Mikey in Year 9 for doing so well in the Schools Zonal Trampoline Competition!

He scored brilliantly and has made it through to the British Schools Gymnastics

Trampoline final which will be held in March! Mikey was the only competitor from the Isle of Wight to make it to the final and we are so impressed by this brilliant achievement.

All at CEC are wishing him the very best of luck for the finals!

The amazing Rosie in Year 9 plays for Portsmouth Football Academy and played in an inter-house football match in Portsmouth in freezing fog and won their match and are top of their league! Rosie will be travelling to Holland in May to take part in an under-15s tournament against other countries. We are so proud of her and wishing her the best of luck for the tournament!

In Year 8 IT, students created PowerPoints on Computing Past, Present and Future. They presented their work to each other in class and wrote constructive feedback.
