IMAX
IMAX hosted an event in Los Angeles to officially launch the IMAX VR Experience Centre, which was the company’s first pilot location worldwide. The event gave media in the LA area an unprecedented behind-the-scenes look at IMAX VR including its unparalleled technology, content, and design. Attendees included some of the most influential outlets in tech and entertainment, including The New York Times, Los Angeles Times, CNET, Bloomberg, USA Today, Digital Trends, Conan, and Buzzfeed.
Harman
Baseball stadiums across the country are leveraging sound and upgrading their audio systems to create better fan experiences. Harman overhauled the entire sound system in San Diego’s Petco Park and challenged Coyne to help the brand showcase the change in sound needs throughout professional baseball. The team devised a media outreach plan surrounding the Petco Park installation and the science behind wiring modern-day stadiums to deliver the ideal sound experience. In San Diego, the architectural layout of Petco combined with the ocean air nearby made that design even more interesting. Coverage lead off with a large story on SI.com with the campaign garnering more than 19 million media impressions.
Midea
Midea introduced Midea U, the world’s first u-shaped inverter air conditioner; DUO, the industry’s first portable air conditioner with a hose-in-hose design; and the CUBE, a dehumidifier with a unique nesting design allowing for a three times larger water tank capacity. The Coyne team executed aggressive nationwide outreach to generate widespread awareness and helped make the Midea U, DUO, and CUBE the coolest products of the year. The Midea U was awarded the coveted Consumer Reports Recommended Mark. It’s also earned a 4.5-star average rating from more than 10,000 reviews on Amazon and is consistently “out of stock” due to high demand.
VTech
VTech challenged Coyne PR to help launch the world’s first smartwatch for kids – the Kidizoom Smartwatch, among toy industry influencers and the tech community. Hot on the heels of the adult wearables trend, Coyne PR previewed the Kidizoom Smartwatch to select media at Toy Fair, building the buzz, which continued throughout the year. As the retail availability date neared, the product was launched at a Christmas in July media event and samples were pre-seeded to key influential toy and tech media, which included one-on-one meetings with a VTech executive. The Kidizoom Smartwatch, which the media often referred to as the Apple Watch for kids, received nearly a dozen toy test awards and was featured in national and local print, broadcast and online media, generating more than 300 million impressions.
LittleBits
LittleBits turned to Coyne to generate buzz and officially launch its Star Wars Droid Inventor Kit on Force Friday and sustain momentum through the all-important holiday season. The team executed aggressive nationwide outreach to generate widespread awareness and helped make the Droid Inventor Kit one of the hottest toys of the year, as well as a winner of the prestigious Creative Toy of the Year (TOTY) Award.
Well-known in Europe and among audiophiles, KEF, a manufacturer of high-end audio solutions, tasked Coyne with generating awareness and coverage for its brand and product portfolio among media in the U.S. Coyne celebrated the launch of the brand’s Muo wireless Bluetooth speakers at an intimate media-only event at the Museum of Art and Design in New York City. Top media in attendance included CNET, CBS TV, Bloomberg, Consumer Reports, BestProducts.com, NBC NY Live, VIBE, Dwell, and more.
Casio
Casio enlisted the Coyne PR team to produce an event for the launch of four new digital pianos in its popular Privia series. The “Beyond Sound” with Casio event was held at the Edison Ballroom in New York City where attendees were treated to an exclusive concert from Tom Brislin who opened the show with his original music on one of Casio’s Privia digital pianos. Additional entertainment included DJ ENFERNO who pumped the crowd up by mixing throughout the night using a Casio synthesizer and Karmin, who ended the night on a high note with their incredible vocals.
