Mit der Heidi Horten Collection präsentiert sich eine der hochkarätigsten Privatsammlungen Europas im spektakulären Ambiente eines aufwendig renovierten Innenstadt­Palais. Im Juni 2022, nur wenige Tage vor dem Tod der Mäzenin eröffnet, gilt die Heidi Horten Collection bereits heute als eine der führenden Museumsadressen Wiens. Im Fokus stehen Sonderausstellungen, die sehr persönliche Einblicke in die Sammlung, aber auch in das Leben der Sammlerin geben.

RENDEZ-VOUS DER KUNST

So steht die Sommerausstellung „RendezVous“ vom 6. Mai bis 29. Oktober 2023 beispielsweise ganz im Zeichen von Werken, in denen Frankreich eine zentrale Rolle spielt.

Ein Fokus liegt dabei auf so großen Künstlernamen wie Pablo Picasso, Marc Chagall oder Yves Klein. Darüber hinaus lädt die Schau aber auch in die ebenso mondäne wie modernistische Villa Dubeau – jenes Domizil an der Côte d’Azur, das Heidi Horten gerne als Rückzugsort nutzte und in dem die Kunst stets eine besondere Rolle einnahm.

Heidi Horten (1941–2022) hat mit viel Feingefühl und Leidenschaft eine Sammlung mit mehreren hundert Gemälden, Skulpturen und Grafiken von internationalem Rang geschaffen, die einen profunden Überblick über die Entwicklung der Kunst des 20. und 21. Jh. bietet. Ihr im Jahr 2022 als „Heidi Horten Collection“ gegründetes Privatmuseum mit dauerhaften Präsentationsflächen im Herzen Wiens ermöglicht es allen Kunstinteressenten, diesen Kunstgenuss an einem besonderen Ort zu erleben.

With great sensitivity and passion, Heidi Horten (1941–2022) has created a collection of several hundred paintings, sculptures and graphics of international standing, representing a profound overview of the development of 20th and 21st century art. Her private museum, founded in 2022 as the “Heidi Horten Collection”, with permanent exhibition spaces in the heart of Vienna, enables all art lovers to experience her passion for art in a very special setting.

The Heidi Horten Collection is one of the most prestigious private collections in Europe, presented in the spectacular ambience of a lavishly renovated inner-city palace. Opened in June 2022, just a few days before the matron’s death, the Heidi Horten Collection is already considered one of Vienna’s leading museum addresses. The focus is on special exhibitions that provide very personal insights into the collection, but also into the life of the collector.

RENDEZ-VOUS FOR THE ARTS

The summer exhibition “Rendez-Vous” from May 6th to October 29th, 2023 is dedicated to works in which France plays a central role. One focus is on the great artists Pablo Picasso, Marc Chagall and Yves Klein. In addition, the show also invites visitors to the equally sophisticated and modernist Villa Dubeau – the domicile on the Côte d’Azur that Heidi Horten liked to use as a retreat and in which works of art always played a central role.
