Chinese tobacco pack installs Roland 700 Ev Qingzhou Xinhua Packaging Co., Ltd last year collaborated for the first time with Manroland by purchasing a new eight-colour Roland 700 Evolution with coating module and UV system press. The press has now been installed and put into production with a significant increase in production capacity. Founded in 1995, Qingzhou Xinhua Packaging is highly experienced in packaging printing. In 2014, it was successfully restructured into the first wholly-owned printing company of the Etsong Tobacco (Group) Ltd Co. Since then, it has enjoyed rapid growth. After decades of steady progress, the company has become a modern packaging printing enterprise with assets of nearly 100 million yuan and annual output value of nearly 150 million yuan. Moreover, it was rated as a national high-tech enterprise and a Weifang municipal technology center in 2017.
Jiang Nianxiao, Qingzhou Xinhua Packaging's general manager, knew exactly how the Roland 700 Evolution can take the company to the next level. "In addition to the traditional production of tobacco packages, our company has been exploring new markets in recent years. Through technological advancements, we hope to face the new challenges in the packaging printing market and improve the production process, product quality, innovation and productivity," said Jiang. "We also hope to reduce operating costs, keep expanding our business and enhance our company’s competitiveness in the market with the world’s latest technology and the smartest printing equipment." Due this expectation, and after thorough research, the company decided to acquire a Roland 700 Evolution. As Manroland's latest flagship model for medium format, it has a sleek platform design with a futuristic look and numerous innovative technologies designed to significantly improve production efficiency, operation and quality. Due to its excellent print quality and process innovation capability, the Roland 700 Evolution is widely used in the tobacco packaging industry. In fact, it has received high recognition from the cigarette packaging companies. This is another important reason why Qingzhou Xinhua Packaging chose Manroland.
Technically speaking, Manroland’s 16-roller ink chain design ensures the best balance between ink storage and reaction speed. This is particularly suitable for the "rich coloured" characteristics and design requirements of tobacco packaging products. TripleFlow configures the optimal ink volume according to different graphics and texts; the intelligent software controls the ink volume for new job startup and job changes, thus minimizing the waste of printing sheets and increasing efficiency.
