A brief overview of CPUT’s 1st Team Football CPUT Ladies Football Team

TEAM ACHIEVEMENTS

The ladies team manager, Sesethu Thwethwa, along with 4 of our players, Sanele Magodla, Kholelwa Ntshayi, Buhle Zwane & Samkelisiwe Madela have written their level 1 refereeing course and after passing have been included in the Northern Suburb’s LFA refereeing panel. Kholelwa Ntshayi represented the Local Football Association and was the only female amongst 4 males.

Our winger Pumelela “Maya” Mtongana is our first player that managed to score backto-back hat tricks - 6 goals in 2 games in the SAFA Women’s regional league. She also participated in the CPUT Res League along with her teammates in different teams and managed to score 15 goals in 2 matches, walking away with the top goal scorer of the tournament award.

Our 1st team goalkeeper, Nonhle Ngema, also played in the Res league where she managed to keep 2/2 clean-sheets. Their team was crowned the champions of the female Res League 2022
