First-year selected for SA TABLE TENNIS TEAM

Anande Kuse fell in love with the sport of table tennis while attending an after-school programme in primary school.

She has been included in the SA Table Tennis Board u/19 girls’ team.
“What I enjoy the most about table tennis is that it’s a sport where respect is taught from the beginning. It’s really complex, but also really interesting, with lots of technique and thinking involved.”
Anande grew up in Nyanga and attended Walter Teka Primary and Sithembele Matiso High School.
She follows a strict training routine, while also ensuring that she keeps up to date with her studies.
Anande said she was very happy to be included in the national team.
“At first I had so little confidence in myself. When I was still going for trials, I felt like I didn’t do enough training. But now, since I’m on the national team, I feel very happy and proud of myself, said the member of the Top Table Tennis club and also the CPUT Table Tennis Club.
She has also been selected to represent Western Province at the National games
