UCT25-29 JulyAfter several years of dormancy, volleyball has been given a new beginning at CPUT. One of our successes is that we were able to participate in the USSA for the first time since 2015. Won their first game at USSA for 5 years as well.

TUT05-09 August
In 2019 we had a successful CPUT Supa-pool tournament which was meant to kick-start the sport after many years of its non-existence. Unfortunately, the Covid-19 pandemic interrupted our progress and we had to wait until this year to get things going again. It can be considered a success that we were able to participate in a USSA tournament for the first time in over 10 years.
RESULTS
CPUT finished in position 15 out of 19 teams
2nd place - silver medals. There were 10 teams in the competition. One of our players, Simakele Kutase, came 5th overall and made the national USSA team. Team captain, Lukholo Bhalela came 6th and is therefore the reserve for the national USSA team should they participate in any international events which does not seem likely at this stage.
