Message from Mrs Conrad
It was wonderful to see so many of you and your extended family and friends at our Spring Concert on Wednesday evening.
The girls were absolutely superb and performed an eclectic programme of songs which had us smiling one minute and wiping a tear from our eye the next. Our musical ensembles delighted us with their instrumental pieces ranging from ‘In an English Country Garden’ to Snow Patrol’s ‘Chasing Cars’. There was a real sense of joy about the whole occasion with the girls really enjoying their music making and taking part so enthusiastically. Thank you to all the staff for helping with the organisation behind the scenes and huge congratulations to Mrs Harris on such a successful first concert which I am sure is the first of many.

Vacancy—After School Care Assistant
We are looking for an After School Care Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will assist our After School Care Manager in the safe and organised running of the After School Care Club. This is a part time role, term time only, Mon-Fri 4-6pm. It could be suitable for a job share.

****Save the Date**** Teen Tips ParentTalk
Friday 28th April 8.30—9.30am
Teen Tips are returning to St T’s at the beginning of the Summer Term to speak with the Years 5 and 6 girls about transition. As a follow up to our talks at the beginning of the Spring Term about friends, we would like to invite you to a parent talk from Teen Tips entitled Helping Your Girls to Have Healthy Friendships.
In this talk they will explore the complex world of adolescent friendships and what parents and carers can do to help their daughters have happy, healthy relationships with others. They will look at how our interventions can help or hinder when they fall out with others, and what to do if we are concerned that bullying might be an issue.
Please put this date in your diary a sign up form will follow next week.
Summer Uniform
Please may the girls in Years 3 to 5 return to school after Easter wearing their summer uniform. Summer uniform is optional for our Year 6 girls. However, they will be required to wear their winter uniform for special occasions such as Prize Giving and the Leavers’ Mass. As a reminder, the summer uniform consists of: pink and white striped dress; white ankle socks (not trainer socks); blazer and cardigan.

Year 5 Scarlett M for her commitment and enthusiasm in Drama lessons.
Year 6 Olivia K for her wonderful facial expressions that conveyed the meaning of the song he sang in the Spring concert.
Explore Lectures
As you are aware, we are celebrating the value of Intellect this year. When we speak of ‘Intellect’, we strive to explore different spheres and topics beyond the curriculum – and just for the sheer joy of it.
Under this guise, we have organised a fabulous series of lectures on a vast and diverse range of topics to run throughout the rest of the academic year. Our eminent and exciting speakers will aim to stimulate curiosity and encourage us all (parents, friends, family and staff) to explore something new.
The lectures will take place on Monday or Tuesday evenings, starting in January. They will be held in the Sixth Form Lecture Theatre and are open to all, free of charge. Nibbles and drinks will be served from 5:30pm for a 6pm start and a 7pm finish.

Sports News
Hockey—Well done to the U8 hockey teams who enjoyed their last hockey match of the season against Rowan School. Players of the matches were: Ivy, Bea and Jemima.
Year 6 enjoyed a fun filled mixed hockey match with the Cranmore boys on Tuesday afternoon. Lots of goals wee scored and the matches were very competitive. Well done everyone!
Football - Well done to the U11A+B football teams for a double win against Manor House. The teams comprised of both Year 5 and 6 girls and they played superbly well together considering it was the first time they had played as a team. The final scores were 4-2 to the As and 2-1 to the Bs. Players of the matches were Sophia C and Kaiah.
Cross Country—Year 3 had their inter-house cross country this week. The girls put into practice their skills learnt over the last few weeks. The winning house was St Ignatius, well done girls!
Year 5 also had their inter-house cross country this week, they embraced the muddy field and had great fun taking part! Their favourite part was the hot chocolate afterwards. The winning house was St Benedict, well done!
On Tuesday afternoon, our U8-13 girls took part in Danes Hill cross country event. The Intermediate girls placed 3rd in the team event! Our other top rankings were Thea placing 6th/74 in the junior category and Isabella placing 6th/82 in the intermediate category. Great work girls!
Swimming - Congratulations to the U11 swim squad for swimming in the ESSA relays on Saturday. The girls worked hard as a team and did the school proud.
Hop Step and Jump!
On Thursday 30th March, our annual Easter fun run for CAFOD is taking place at 8:30am on the field, don’t forget to bring an Easter accessory. See you all there!

Easter Music Course 2023!
This year’s course will take place from 14th April. The course is open to girls and boys from all schools in Years 3 - 6 who have passed Grade 1 on their instrument. Please email Mrs Yalden information.

This Week
The third of our Lenten themes is Give. To help us, we listened to the account of Jesus healing the blind man (John 9). Jesus restores the man’s sight and suddenly, as everyone else is thrown into confusion, he is the only one who can see clearly. As we sang our song, ‘Every move I make’ we were reminded that ‘everywhere I go, I see your face!’ Sometimes our behaviour suggests that we do not recognise that every single person that we meet is made in the image and likeness of God, so it really is true to say that when we look at another person, we are looking into the face of God. This should change our behaviour. Jesus reminded us of this when he tells us ‘whatever you do to even the least of these brothers and sisters, you are doing it to me.’
In this season of Lent we are called to see those opportunities that we are given every single day to act with love, compassion and concern for all those people we meet our family at home and in school, and in our wider community. Perhaps this week we can look out for those opportunities to truly treat others as children of God.

There have been a couple of equine virus outbreaks in the area. Those who have their own horses or who ride elsewhere, please make sure you wear a different set of clothes and wash your hands before coming to equestrian.
Roxy and Mouse had physio last Saturday and really enjoyed it! On Monday, Charlie had a saddler visit to readjust his saddles, and the rest of the horses had a visit from the saddler on Friday.
It is important the horses saddles and backs to be checked to make sure that they aren’t in any pain or discomfort when they are ridden.
The horse of the week is Wizard!
