Eco Tip of the Week Tiny pieces of balled foil won't always be recycled because: a) they may fall through recycling machinery; b) if they don't fall through the machinery, staff might not see them; c) if they do see them, they won't be able to pick them up with gloves on. Try to ball your foil up to about the size of a tennis ball. Wrap them in bigger bits of used foil, if you need to.
Please share with your friends and families.

After a short flight, they arrived in New York City and began sharing their postcards and recommendations of places to visit. They then spread their wings to share the story of the Raven and The Crow along with their own excellent Myths. It was a fabulous assembly. Well done 4CR.
The Queen’s Green Canopy Following our tree planting for the Queen’s Green Canopy, you can now see St Teresa’s on the on line map. Click here and search ‘Effingham’ to see the tree planted on our site!
4BB—Inspirational Women A few weeks ago, 4BB sent out the letters they wrote to the women who inspire them. These beautifully written letters went to a range if inspirational women: mothers, The Queen, famous athletes, and some even made it overseas! Today, we received our first reply. Matilda wrote to a deceased artist who she has admired for years and enjoyed reading books about. As we could not send this to Frida Kahlo, we decided to send it somewhere where it would be appreciated by other lovers of Art. We sent it to the National Gallery. I hope that this thoughtful response will be the first of many replies...
Visit to Forest School What a great time we all had when Cranmore Reception and Year 1 came to visit St Teresa's Forest School! The children were dressed for the occasion with wellies and waterproofs which was essential for preparing exotic meals in the mud kitchen. Intrepid explorers used binoculars to spot parakeets and jackdaws and lots of fun was had digging and completing craft activities. The afternoon was finished off with a well-earned tasty treat from Gary.

This Week This week, we continued our series of special Chapel Services where we focused on a ‘Hero of the Old Testament.’ This week, we concluded the story of Moses. We remembered how Moses had led the people through the sea, heading towards the promised land, but things did not go as planned. The people could have made the journey in just a few weeks, but instead, they wandered in the wilderness for 40 years. Why, you may ask, did it take so long? Put simply, it was because of their constant moaning and grumbling. As soon as they entered the wilderness it began, so God called Moses to the top of Mount Sinai and God gave Moses the Ten Commandments—ten rules to help the people live a happy life. But even as Moses came down from the mount the people were moaning and grumbling. Moses was so angry that he smashed the stone tablets with the Commandments written on them and had to make another set! The people continued on their journey but were continually getting lost. So God sent a pillar of cloud by day and a pillar of fire by night to guide them on their way, but still the people moaned and grumbled. Some of them were even heard to say that they wished they were back in Egypt working as slaves! The journey was long and hard and it wasn't long before they ran out of water, which was essential when travelling through the wilderness. Again, it wasn’t long before the people began their moaning and groaning again. So God commanded Moses to strike a rock and water poured forth. You’d think they would be happy with this, but then the people started moaning that they didn’t have enough to eat. The following morning the ground was covered with Manna, a heavenly food that fed the people for their journey. All through the story God provided everything that the people needed, not because of their moaning and grumbling, but because God loved them and only wanted the best for them. Perhaps we can remember this when we are tempted to moan and grumble!

In the 60cm Grassroots, Pernille A rode well but unfortunately picked up some faults which knocked her out of the placings. Finally, Jessica R rode in the 40cm and 50cm Grassroots classes and rode clear in both classes, placing 6th in the 40cm and 3rd in the 50cm! Qualifying for the Grassroots Championships! Well done everyone! Also, over the weekend was the BSJA Just for Schools Championships! We only had one rider head over to Wales on a trip that took 3 hours!
