What a week it has been of beautiful summer celebration events.
We kick started the week with amazing performances in T-Fest enjoyed in the sunshine on Mairlot Lawn, all those involved were fantastic and a big thank you to all staff involved in making such a delightful evening.
On Tuesday I was privileged to be part of the full governor’s meeting and Summer BBQ where a fond farewell was given by the governors to Miss Nelson in thanks for her 36 years of service!
Wednesday was packed full of Prep girls attending their ABRSM examinations on a range of musical instruments –well done, girls and we look forward to hearing your results.
Thursday saw the matinee and first staging of our Year 6 production of Joseph, both performances were excellent but I hear all girls from our Year 5 chorus to all our Year 6 performers really raised their game in front of their parent audience to spectacular heights.
In Friday’s celebration assembly we celebrated an amazing set of LAMDA qualifications from all our girls who achieved either a merit or a distinction! I am looking forward to seeing tonight’s performance and you will hear all about it in our report in next week’s bulletin.
I wish you and all our hardworking, tired Year 5 and 6 girls a well deserved and restful weekend. I leave you with these words of wisdom:
‘When everything seems to be against you, remember that the aeroplane takes off against the wind, not with it.’ Henry Ford
Best Wishes,
Gareth Tindall

Year 3 HumanYoga Mandala
The girls in 3KC and 3RN created a human yoga mandala. A mandala is a sacred, circular, geometric design that is symbolic in Buddhist and Hindu cultures. In our Mandala, we thought about the symbol of a lotus flower. Each day the lotus flower breaks the surface of the water and opens out to the universe to reach its full potential. Each evening, it closes and returns to beneath the water ready for a fresh start the next day. This is a beautiful reminder that no matter how challenging life can be, we can triumph over adversity.

Year 4 Flamenco Workshop
On Monday, the girls in Year 4 learnt about Flamenco culture and dance. Some girls even brought their Flamenco outfits ("traje de flamenca"), the dress worn by women at festivals ("Ferias") in Andalusia, in Spain. Traditionally, the outfit can be completed with castanets ("castañuelas"), a fan ("abanico"), a shawl ("mantón de Manila") worn over the shoulders and the hair is in a bun adorned with flowers ("flores"), and perhaps a decorative hair comb ("peineta"). It was fantastic to see the girls make the most of their cultural class with Señora Gonzalez-Weekes and of their dance class with flamenca Señora Granada-Herbello. ¡Muy bien a todas las flamencas, que bailarinas fantasticas!

Year 4 Macbeth
The girls have worked hard to write their own versions of the Macbeth Witches' spell. They created the verses and then the refrain. Once complete, each group performed their compositions, showing their drama skills and collaborating well to create their own piece of Shakespearean drama.

A Delightful Evening at T Fest: Celebrating Our Talented Prep School Girls
This past Monday, our community came together for an enchanting evening at T Fest, where the Prep School girls dazzled us with their performances. The weather was perfect, with beautiful sunshine setting the stage for a memorable event.
As families and friends gathered, the atmosphere was lively and there was even ice cream! The festival featured a vibrant variety of acts, from live music and dancing to captivating solos and ensembles. Our Prep School girls truly shone in their performances, showcasing their incredible talents and hard work and the applause they received showed that the audience appreciated it too!
We are immensely proud of our girls for their dedication and creativity, which made T Fest an unforgettable celebration. Thank you to everyone who attended and supported our young performers. Your presence made the evening all the more special.

U10Tennis
On Monday the U11 tennis players took on Manor House at home. It was a glorious summers evening, a stark contrast to that of the St Catherine’s fixture the previous weekend. Throughout the fixture the girls excelled at demonstrating their knowledge of the rules and confidence of making correct calls during the games. Well done to all the girls that participated, the girls did exceptionally well and won many of their games.
U10 & U11 Athletics Meet
On Tuesday a group of U10 & U11 girls travelled away to compete in an athletics meet at Manor House. The girls competed in a range of throwing, jumping, short and long distance running events. On Tuesday, First Holy Communicants across the Trust gathered at the chapel in St Teresa’s. We celebrated the great faith of our young pupils and truly met Jesus, fully present in the Eucharist. In this world faith is such a great gift and in our Year of Faith we have come to discover how important it is to open the eyes of our hearts to His presence and love.
Celebration of the Good Shepherd
On Thursday, six pupils from Cranmore and seven pupils from St Teresa’s travelled to Worth Abbey to be with Bishop Richard and celebrate as a Diocese.
