At the beginning of the week, our Year 7 pupils had an exciting stay at Calshot Activity Centre. Over the course of the two days, pupils enjoyed a multitude of activities including kayaking, indoor climbing, Ringo fun on the ski slopes, engineering tasks, problem solving and team building events. This term, all five year groups in the Senior School have already had a study skills session with Elevate Education to help our pupils to employ techniques that can improve their academic performance. The final presentations this week helped the Year 11 pupils with exam preparation study skills, while the Year 9 pupils focused on memory mnemonics.

A Message from our Chaplaincy Team
This Week
Bible Reading
The disciples woke him and said to him, “Teacher, don’t you care if we drown?”
He got up, rebuked the wind and said to the waves, “Quiet! Be still!” Then the wind died down and it was completely calm.
He said to his disciples, “Why are you so afraid? Do you still have no faith?”
They were terrified and asked each other, “Who is this? Even the wind and the waves obey him!”
Mark 4
Reflection
Sometimes as we journey and move through life we can face storms. These can often take us by surprise. Life can be unpredictable. The Disciples recognise Jesus as Teacher, but after this miracle as more than a Teacher. We too may think we know Jesus. But we must continue to grow in our knowledge of the one who can calm the storms.
Prayer
Lord, bring peace and calm to the storms I am facing or may face in the future.
Remind us all that you are with us and that you control the waters.
We make this prayer through Christ our Lord.
Amen.
“May today there be peace within. May you trust that you are exactly where you are meant to be.” St Teresa of Lisieux
