Crans-Montana «You won’t find a place as beautiful and peaceful anywhere in the world.» says James Bond. Just like Sir Roger Moore, lots of people have fallen in love with Crans-Montana. The French actress Carole Bouquet, had much praise for Crans-Montana when she stayed here, a stay which she said was «sadly too short ».
An Alpine panorama which is unique in the world. A captivating white frieze, over 200 kilometres long, unfolds before your eyes, spiked with the 4,000 metre+ summits which form the mythical «Imperial Crown». Breathtaking views over the green Rhone Valley, a tapestry of vineyards. You’re here in Crans-Montana, a little corner of paradise on earth, served up on
a silver platter where traditions, nature and modernism rub shoulders, side by side and in perfect harmony. Although Valaisans don’t like boasting and prefer to let others sing the praises of their land, they are however happy to share its gifts. So, when will we have the pleasure of welcoming you ?

Fresh air and sunshine The air in Crans-Montana is the purest in the Swiss Alps (SAPALDIA medical study). Top sportspeople will tell you a secret: air inhaled at altitudes between 1,500 and 3,000 metres has numerous energising virtues. As for
sunshine, we enjoy 300 days a year on the Haut-Plateau. Its beneficial caress stimulates essential Vitamin D, which prevents cardiovascular problems and fractures. All this, and at no extra charge‌
Snow and eternal greens Once the first snow has fallen, it’s the turn of snow sports fans. Amongst the many activities on offer, each one more fun than the last, you can hurtle down 140 kilometres of marked, secured pistes in four themed areas in the Crans-Montana ski area, which has been famous worldwide since 1911 when it hosted the very first Alpine ski race in winter sport history.

Access Crans-Montana is just a stone’s throw from Sion, the capital of Valais and from Sierre, its neighbour. It takes just 12 minutes by funicular – the longest in Switzerland – to get to the CFF station which serves Geneva, Zurich and Milan airports. And in just 25 minutes, Sion International
Airport is all yours. Just 15km separate the Haut-Plateau from the motorway to Geneva, Zurich or to Italy via the Simplon. This places Crans-Montana at a crossroads, and also makes it one of the most beautiful destinations in the region.
