18th October, 2016 Reflection Prayer to Follow God Completely O My God give me your grace so that the things of this earth and things more naturally pleasing to me, may not be as close as you are to me. Keep my eyes, my ears, my heart from clinging to the things of this world. Break my bonds, raise my heart. Keep my whole being fixed on you. Let me never lose sight of you; and while I gaze on you, let my love of you grow more and more every day. Amen John Henry Newman (1801-1890)

Dear Parents and Students, Last day for Year 12 students, 2016 Our Year 12 students arrived early this morning dressed up in colourful costumes to celebrate their last day at CRC Melton. Student Achievement Congratulations to Brendan O’Brien of Year 7 for winning the Junior boys Minyip Field Game School Shoot Competition held last Monday. It is the first time CRC has participated in this competition and this was a result of Brendan’s initiative. Brendan shot extremely well at the school shoot, shooting a total of 20 out of 24 to win the sub junior outright. Over 406 kids attended the shoot. With Brendan representing CRC he also shot the equal highest score with 2 other boys seeing him in a shoot off with them.

Brendan’s goal is to win the main event next year and have team mates from CRC. Student Leaders 2017 We held our final Year 12 school assembly and 2017 Leadership Investiture last week. This was an opportunity to thank the 2016 Student leaders and induct our 2017 leaders. We farewelled the Year 12 students and thanked them for the contribution they have made to the College. This celebration is known as the Carlton Festa which primarily celebrates the Italian contribution made to our Australian way of life. If you are free this weekend, head down to Lygon Street and taste a little bit of Italy right at your door step. Arrivederci!
