Years 10 & 11 Well done to all Year 10 and Year 11 students for their positive participation in our 2017 Jumpstart program. The work covered will certainly prepare them for a smooth start in 2017. Year 9 Finish Year 9 classes conclude this Tuesday, December 6. Year 9 Mass is that afternoon. Year 9 City Experience takes place from Wednesday, December 7 to Friday, December 9. Year 7 & 8 Finish

Year 7 and Year 8 students finish classes on Thursday, December 8 with a special last day program on Friday, December 9. Students will finish at 1.30pm. Buses Bus travellers need to note the following for the last day of school - December 9. SITA Town buses will not pick up at the College on Friday December 9 as they need to run normal times (4pm). Town bus travellers need to catch other local buses at nearby bus stops. Bacchus Marsh Coaches will pick up students at 1.30pm if they are stand alone buses (not tied to other school pickups). Students should chat with their drivers as to their situation. Students are reminded that they need to wait at the front of the College for buses after school (no matter what time normal pick up is scheduled). We have staff supervision in this area and at times buses can arrive early and students miss their connections (especially this time of year) . Year 7 2017 Orientation Day Please note that Year 7 2017 Orientation Day is on Tuesday, December 6. Current Year 7 students will not be required at school this day. John Christie Deputy Principal (Staff) Year 7 2018 Enrolments Enrolment Applications for Year 7 2018 are due Wednesday 30th November.

Mittagundi

Mittagundi is an Outdoor Education Centre and Pioneer Style Farm set on a stunning 400 acre property in the foothills of the Victorian High Country. Every fortnight a new journey begins as around twenty 14-17 year olds and two Clydesdale horses walk into the property, camping overnight in the mountains. Once there the new friends spend time working together on the farm, fencing, growing food, milking cows, working with wood, steel and wool - all without electricity! Then embark on adventures, rafting the Mitta Mitta River and abseiling off a local cliff face before walking back through the mountains and returning to civilisation. The atmosphere at Mittagundi is simple, honest and happy. There are no watches, no timetables and no money. Instead there is an opportunity for young people to live and work together in an environment where people matter more than anything else. Council is developing its next Council and Wellbeing Plan, a strategic document that will guide policy development, service and program delivery and decision making over the next four years. It’s basically a roadmap for Council’s work. Earlier this year, community members shared awesome ideas and hopes for Melton City 2036, and now this long-term vision for our community is being developed. So, it’s time to talk about how we can make the community vision a reality! How do we: create a more connected and safer community? work to grow local businesses and create employment? plan for the right infrastructure for our current and new communities? protect our natural environment?
