Dear Parents and Students, I recently attended a PD session at CRC Caroline Springs with Dr George Otero on Family School Partnerships (FSP). The focus was on the development of partnerships between schools, families and communities by personalising learning, connecting parents and the community and extending learning opportunities. Attending the session with me were Rob Blackley, Narelle Layton, Kerrie Ann Matthews and Shaun Coates as members of the Leadership team, plus Elise Nowak who is doing her Masters study in this area. Elise has been surveying students and parents in Years 10 and 11 to find out more about the various connections between school and family, with a particular focus on student learning. The National competition begins on the 15th September. Good luck Mitch! School Improvement Surveys 2016 - Have your say We are seeking your participation in school improvement surveys to help shape the ongoing improvement of our school for the students in our care. A very big thank you to the 12 parents who have completed the survey. We still require another 20 parents to complete the survey. If you are willing to complete the survey please email: kmatthews@crcmelton.com.au Our School Improvement Report is an invaluable resource in our ongoing pursuit of improvement. This helps us to identify what is going well and not so well and the ways in which we can improve and further develop our school. We would therefore greatly appreciate your continued support by completing the survey this year.
