6th October, 2015 Reflection ‘I Am’ Lord Jesus, you said, ‘I am the bread of life.’ Satisfy our hunger for God, we pray to you. Lord Jesus, you said, ‘I am the light of the world.’ Light up our darkness with your message of hope, we pray to you. Lord Jesus, you said, ‘I am the gate of the sheepfold.’ Lead us to your truth and peace, we pray to you. Lord Jesus, you said, ‘I am the Good Shepherd.’ Gather us into your fold, we pray to you. Lord Jesus, you said, ‘I am the resurrection and the life.’ Awaken us from the sleep of death, we pray to you. Lord Jesus, you said, ‘I am the way, the truth and the life.’ Show us the face of God, we pray to you. Lord Jesus, your said, ‘I am the true vine.’ Help us to bear fruit in your love, we pray to you. Landscaping Projects

Winter Sleep Out Cheque Presentation

Visitors will notice that landscaping works have commenced on the Main Entrance to the College. There is a temporary front access located adjacent to Staff Carpark 6. Staff, parents/guardians, visitors and students needing to access the front Office will use the ‘old’ side entrance that has been sign-posted.

At our end of term full school assembly last term the Social Justice Student Leaders presented a cheque of $2970 to St Vinnie’s.

These works will create a more contemporary space for students, staff, parents and visitors to the College. It is anticipated that this work will be completed by Christmas.

This was the amount raised by 23 students and 5 staff from our annual Winter Sleep Out. The representative from St Vinnie’s was extremely grateful and very appreciative of our efforts.

In mid November a second landscape project will commence in the central part of the school. Again we will experience some short term dislocation, but in the long run we will have a terrific outcome for our school. Best wishes in particular to Year 12 students and their families as we prepare for the final two weeks of classes and exam preparation. Mark Sheehan Principal

Parents & Friends The next meeting of the Parents & Friends will be held on Wednesday 28th October at 7.30pm.

During Languages Week, the Year 7’s participated in activities and learning about other languages and their background. Filippo visited our school and showed us traditional Italian dances such as the Tarantella. The Year 7's also participated in making music by using instruments, singing songs and dancing. Overall, everyone had a great time. Students participated in at least one activity. It was a successful day and one well enjoyed. Thanks to Mrs Russo and Mrs Dance who made it all happen.
