9th December, 2014 Reflection "He came into the world, becoming a man like us , to bring His plan of love to fullness. And God demands that we become a sign of his action in the world. Through our faith, our hope, our love, He wants to enter the world again and again He wants to shine His light in our night." Pope Benedict XVI "We know that the coming of the Lord is threefold: the third coming is between the other two and it is not visible in the way they are. The first coming was in flesh and weakness, the middle coming is in spirit and power, and the final coming will be in glory and majesty." St Bernard of Clairvaux

Christmas 2014

End of Year

The end of the school year is upon us for 2014 and our thoughts are turning to preparations for Christmas and the school holidays.

I would like to complement our students at all year levels for the way they approached the end of year. Students remained actively involved in classes / Jumpstart program until the last days. Our Pastoral and Activity days also received positive feedback from staff, and community groups.

The scene of the baby born in the stable in Bethlehem, with his mother Mary and her husband Joseph, gives us much to reflect on. One needs to look, to listen, to meditate and on the meaning – at once so deep and so mysterious – of this very simple, very humble and very beautiful manifestation of the Son of God. Let us learn from Nazareth that the formation received at home is irreplaceable and that family life, which is a communion of love, has a sacred and inviolable character. May parents, staff and students of CRC Melton school community experience the gift of peace this Christmas and may that peace of Christ endure in your hearts and minds throughout the coming year. Congratulations to all Award winners from last Wednesday night. Specific details will be in the newsletter in 2015. Mark Sheehan Principal
