ROCKSTART ANSWERS ENSCHEDE
WELCOME to a new Rockstart Answers Enschede edition. ‘Two years ago, when attending a big conference for entrepreneurs, I was sitting in the audience, listening to a keynote. Everybody around me was working on their mobile devices. That didn’t make sense to me. I thought it was a wasted opportunity to actually do something. To use our knowledge, make new connections. I missed any form of action. That’s when I got the idea for Rockstart Answers.’ Rockstart Answers is important for startups, and for other organizations in the startup space. So thanks for coming, and enjoy! - Gregor Noltes Rockstart ROCKSTART ANSWERS ENSCHEDE

“Give. Learn. Create.” KPMG’s Early Stage Technology Group (EST) bridges the gap between disruptive tech companies and the enterprise. The focus lies on two types of innovation driven enterprises: fast growers and additive technology (technology that is beneficial to corporate clients). We are blending in the startup ecosystem to give back, to learn and to create new products and services in a joint effort. Don’t be a stranger, we are here to help.

KITE Robotics:
What is the best way to enter the market and gain market share? Before you enter the market, determine who is your client. Building owners want clean windows, cleaning companies want cost reductions. Provide your client with an easy, attractive, pain-free solution. First step: build a complete business case: run a well-documented pilot on an iconic building. Let the media do you work. Provide the client with a cost reduction scheme. If you’re cost reduction is >10% your market is huge. Last tip: mind you that depending on third parties is time-consuming. Brandcams:
What is the best way to determine the ultimate customer? In general we feel that you should clarify your USP. Your ultimate customer is the client that has the biggest need for your product and that wants to pay for it. Are you pull- (final user) or push-driven (brands)? Do have enough time to work with big brands’ procurement? What’s important in answering your question is the question whether you are (becoming) a full-service app agency or do you focus on the technology; this is crucial to your customer profiling. Clear Flight Solutions:
What is a good strategy towards a better acceptance of unmanned aviation in general and Robirds in particular in our everyday lives? Transparent communication is king. Show the positive applications, get big media hooked on Robirds. Show recorded data live (big TV screens) or at regular intervals (social media). Accept the fact that every new technology is welcomed by scepsis and negativity, and it takes time before it’s accepted. Go for small launching customers so that the public can get used to Robirds. Idea: use the „Vredesduif” (dove as peace symbol) in your proposition.

Movin Software:
Who is our paying client? Make a better study of the market, e.g. how are you different to Google Indoor? The end user is not going to pay for your product. Look for owners/ service providers in big utility buildings/events. Your app should become the norm for every service provider, thus they should pay for every element in the user-friendliness. Like KITE Robotics, build a complete business case: run a well-documented pilot and provide the client with increased userfriendliness. Idea: focus on buildings that don’t want to publicize their plan. Enschede Textielstad:
How do I find and engage a partner for setting up an innovative fashion textile fabrics assembly line? Keep on sharing your story and you will persuade partners to work with you. Start small. Identify the whole chain, formulate your domain. Find lessons learned from other alternative textile manufacturers. City of Enschede/province has funds for ideas that stimulate the local economy. Within UT you will find departments that are enthusiastic for user cases (Industrial Design, Mechanical Engineering). Build a business case and show there is a demand for this.
