Goole Town Deal: Journey to Investment Goole’s ambitious £25million Town Investment Plan focuses on regeneration and economic growth Work is progressing on preparing individual business cases for each of the 10 Interventions with delivery due to start later this year.
The Delivery Team will be attending events in Goole during the year to give residents and businesses further opportunity to engage in the Town Deal programme.
Town Deal is a process-driven investment journey until 2026. Business cases are necessary to ensure all the projects connect well and deliver for Goole. It seems a very long journey before any visible changes are seen but it’s important each project is developed and delivered correctly, so the best impact can be achieved.
While the 10 projects are all agreed, with clear outcomes to be funded, there will be opportunities to help shape key aspects of the projects as they develop. Throughout the next four years, until Goole’s bicentenary in 2026, more engagement and community participation will take place as the journey moves to delivery, and the vision for Goole begins to take shape.
Now that we can all meet in person again, the Delivery Team will be establishing opportunities for residents, business owners and other stakeholders to participate in the finer detail of each project and see the progress being made. Details will be announced in due course.
