Frank McMeen, President of the Foundation at West Tennessee Healthcare and candidate for Jackson City Council (District 5) recently received the Harbert Alexander Leadership Award from Leadership Jackson.
Daryl Hubbard supporters held their kick off rally Thursday evening at Blacksmiths restaurant in downtown Jackson.
Hubbard who currently serves as the elected City Court Clerk for the City of Jackson welcomed people to his kick off.
A Candidate for Jackson City Mayor, Hubbard introduced himself and shared his over 30 years of serving the people of Jackson; saying “I’m running for Jackson Mayor to make our community a better place to live.”
“We’ve got to do a better job of serving the citizens of Jackson in community policing, proper staffing of City Court and other city departments and find better activities for our youth.”
Hubbard added, “I’m ready, willing and well prepared to serve as your next Mayor. Please come join our team and let’s make Jackson a place we can be proud.”

Western Auto South changing owners after 50 years

After being in business over 50 years, Georgia Drumwright has passed the keys of “Western Auto” over to new owners Bruce and Kym Lovett” The Western Auto south Jackson store continues to be a locally family owned business people have grown to appreciate and love. Mrs Drumwright said “the business and people have been good to us and I’ve enjoyed every day of serving their needs” I’m sure the Lovett’s will continue to take care of their customers in the same professional caring way “ hope you will come by soon and meet them.”
