The Giraffe Awards Dinner & Auction is about love.
People who love what they do, people who love helping others and people loved ones supporting them.
I was still in shock and today I cried. The surreal feeling finally wore off.
God gave me a vision and despite demons that tried to stop it, God said No. I’m humbled, thankful, grateful, honored, blessed and happy.
I wanted every Giraffe to feel honored and special. We acknowledged people that are doing amazing things in this community in silence. A title and money means nothing if no one can say something about your character. Get 20 people to say how you have been a blessing or how you been a light to someone, because that’s what these giraffes did.
The people we honored didn’t want recognition or their names lit up in lights. They been working hard and doing the right things. Everyone looked so good, it was beautiful. Some people were just breathe taking, beautiful dresses, and all smiling faces.
Tashel Lowe. I loved the photo both and 360. The print was so pretty and backgrounds. It made me so happy.
O’Taste & See food was amazing. Tamara Miller thank you, so professional. Derek Anderson was the right bartender. MaiLena Love made the drinks that Flying Giraffe, Hero and PLG punch.
Last but not least, Stephanie Wilbourn transformed an open space to the The Kodak theater. It was elegant classy, sophisticated, upscale, high end, and top notch. I loved it.
I thank Byron Chaney and his band. Debra Witherspoon-Jones and her wait staff. I thank Guain Holloman and Jackie White Hendricks along with Stephanie for fashion reporting and interviews.
I want to thank all my guest speakers and presenters, the community, my friends and family. My friends are so amazing Lynn Donaldson and Marshaunda Yvette. So many amazing people in my life.
Most importantly all the 2023 Giraffe Awards Recipents. The Positive Living Group and PLG Mental Health Advisory Board loves you and we hope you felt honored and valued to receive this great accolade.”
