Now, read the text carefully to do the exercises below. Hi! I’m Jill. I’m British. I’m thirteen and I am in year 8. My brother and I go to the same school, but our baby sister goes to a different school. We love our school, because it is very nice and modern. In my class there are twenty-five students, thirteen boys and twelve girls. They are my age and we are all good friends. My best friend is Maria; she’s from Portugal, but she speaks English very well. She prefers Portugal to England, because in her country the summers are hot and the winters aren’t so cold. We study Portuguese at school. Our Portuguese classes are on Mondays and Fridays, in the morning. Mrs. Collins is our Portuguese teacher and she speaks Portuguese all the time. Portuguese is my favorite subject: the classes are interesting, we do many different activities and the teacher is nice. My classroom is very large and comfortable. There are three windows, a very big blackboard and eight computers for group work. Sometimes we surf the Internet or watch a video in youtube. I like working with computers.
