Unit 2

UNIT 2 Spot, the dog Hello, boys and girls. I’m Spot. My family is the Smiths: Mrs. Smith, Mr. Smith and their children, Henry and Cindy. Henry is my pet. Every morning I wake him up at seven o’clock and I wash his face. Then he washes his face again and makes my breakfast. After that he has breakfast, too. When Henry is at school, I often take his mother for a walk in the park. I can run very fast, and she sometimes has to call me. At half past twelve Mrs. Smith gives me my lunch. Zach, the cat, sometimes comes over, but I always bark at him and then he runs away. On Friday evenings and Saturdays Henry and I play with our friends. I teach the boys many tricks; for example, when I bring a stick, they throw it to me and when I run after them they ride away on their bikes. Every Sunday we go out in the car. I sometimes see dogs in the other cars. Then I bark at them and they bark at me, too. That’s great! At six o’clock, after tea, we often watch TV and then we play a game. I sit in front of the TV and they throw their slippers to me. I like slippers and I take them to their bedrooms. At nine thirty I take Henry to bed. He’s a good boy, so he can always sleep in my bed.
