Manifesto

5LAB will print different designs on bags every two weeks. The design will be related to the workshop they’re going to start each week.

The corporate image of this project aims to mark the industrial character, while technological, modern and sober that describes on one hand the company way of making and on the other the aesthetics and the interior design of the restaurant. We used as the corporate typeface the font family Avenir Next, it is neutral, sans serif and geometric to transmit the industrial character of the brand. The vertical strokes have more weight than the horizontal ones and the letter “o” is not a perfect circle, keeping that humanistics points nearly impercebtible which make it readable not only for text blocks but also for headlines. We manipulated the characters used in the logo creating ties between the characters. Making a composition based on a continuous line to remain us the tubular aesthetics from a laboratory. The result is a static logo with an uniform and homogeneous patch with and industrial and tecnological character.

Target The brand want to focus on mature people who enjoy cooking and design, and want to create experimenting with food. The high economic level class is what the company looks for.

Black, yellow and white are three colors that strengthen the concept of something industrial but with a carefull design, and also the idea of high level class and exclusivity.

We have designed the corporate stationery following the same esthetic line we used in the logo and also in the interior design. Every two weeks 5LAB send a different invitation, including an explicative dossier about the workshop, and a personal lettercard and a poster.

The logo can be used in three different strokes, depending on the layout or surface where the logo will be placed.
