New for 2023! Kidz Kamp! We are thrilled to be back in the schools and offering a full-day Day Camp option again! We have lots of fun planned for this summer featuring activities based on weekly themes, including arts & crafts, sports, indoor and outdoor games, swimming, field trips or special events. Time for lunch is also built in. Try one week or try them all!
All health and safety protocols will be enforced based on the guidelines from the CDC, the PA Dept of Health, and the American Camp Association

SCCT Theatre Academy Camp
Centre Region Parks and Recreation is thrilled to partner with the State College Community Theatre program to offer the SCCT Academy for the summer of 2023! At the State College Community Theatre Academy, we teach Life Skills through Stage Skills. Our goal is to teach valuable theatre skills, including acting, building character, improvisation, musical theatre, and backstage production work. We focus on building foundations and fundamentals of theatre for our younger students and enhancing skills for our older students Our students will leave with a stronger knowledge of the craft of theatre and will learn life lessons in creativity, teamwork, focus, and communication. The skills learned throughout the Academy will be combined into an end-of-camp performance for family and friends to enjoy!
Whether you ’ re a seasoned veteran or this will be your first time ever on stage, there’s a place for you at the Academy!

Soccer Shots Camp
Centre Region Parks and Recreation and Soccer Shots are excited to partner and provide children with an opportunity to develop their soccer skills, their character, and their creativity. Centered around a weekly theme, children are provided with fun activities that include soccer games as well as a variety of other ageappropriate learning such as crafts, team-building exercises, snack time, or even reading Children will be encouraged to participate in daily themes, and each camp will conclude with a celebration of the children’s hard work.

Colossal Creation Circuit Camp
This LEGO® building camp will take campers on a colossal adventure each day as we encounter different characters and models. Mario & Co. will be there along with both Jungle and Jurassic creatures, Battles in Space, and our favorite amusement
park rides! We'll have your creativity flowing as we tackle technical building, amazing architecture with bricks, mosaics, and art projects. And, as always, there will be time for free play so kids can create whatever they wish. So, get on this circuit & get ready for some colossal fun!

Modding with Minecraft
Explore, create or survive! Mine deep into the Minecraft world and create the future! In this creative class, challenge the odds, craft your own kinds of weapons and build dream worlds using code Do this while also learning fundamental programming concepts, level design, and problem-solving skills. You will make use of Ready-made coding blocks to create mini versions of Minecraft games.

Make Your Own Games & Animations
Dive into the world of code by coding your own space shooter games, trivia games, music bands, beautiful computer-generated art, and math simulations, or tell a story! Coding can be for kids of all ages! Even beginners who have no prior coding experience before are able to jump in and learn too! Kids learn to code using visual code blocks that represent real programming concepts that scale from easy to advanced They learn about sequencing, loops, infinite loops, conditionals, events, and more With our Drag
and Drop Platform, kids learn to code by creating their own games! Kids will get to see all these skills in action when they learn to program and fly their own drones! Build Epic Worlds Together in Minecraft
In our Minecraft World Builder course, you will learn how to run a city, manage money, and protect the environment, all within the 3D world of Minecraft! This course is not coding-based but a platform for you to learn more about real-world economics, city planning, and life management! In Minecraft World Builder, you will be a part of a committee and learn to manage money by building your ever-growing city with your peers! At the end of the camp week, each camper will have an understanding of money management and the costs associated with building towns How selling items from a shop affect the economy They will learn how to present presentations through virtual meetings while defending their position on certain topics. Design Your Own Roblox Game
Anyone can build a game in Roblox! Roblox studio has all the tools to make your wildest gaming imaginations a reality. You tell us what game you want to make and we'll teach you the fundamentals and coach you through bringing that game to life! Whether you ' re new to coding or have some experience, you will be challenged and have fun while bringing your game to life Through drag-and-drop techniques or pure scripting, you’ll be creating extensions to the Roblox game while fostering your creativity and learning real-world computer coding. At the end of your camp, your child will have a completed Roblox project(s) which they will be able to play online and be able to show off to their friends. Your child will learn problem-solving skills, manage a game from the ground up, will learn how to work with different coding concepts such as variables, and objects, and writing proper syntax all while managing their very own game!

In this four-day tennis camp, players will participate in age appropriate drills and games to develop their tennis skills. These activities will help players improve their forehand, backhand, and volleys, as well as footwork and overall tennis performance. Additionally, players will have the opportunity to play singles/doubles against opponents to strengthen match play The camp is geared towards advanced beginner players Rain makeup will be Friday if needed. If a child has a racquet, they should bring it with them; if not, racquets will be provided.

Wonderful Wetlands Camp
This action-packed, exciting camp, hosted by Millbrook Marsh, offers nature exploration and hands-on learning mixed with fun games, creative crafts, and recreational activities all while learning about wetlands and the natural world. Please dress for the weather.
*Program drop-off location may move to Spring Creek Park due to facility construction at the Nature Center. Participants will be notified of the change by staff as soon as possible once a construction timeline has been defined*

Kayak Camp
Great for first-time boaters or those who wish to strengthen their technique. Camp begins by learning the equipment basics; life jackets, parts of the kayak, and paddle. Campers develop and practice the various kinds of paddle strokes and fundamentals of safe boat handling on local lakes. After building their skills, campers will conclude the week with a river trip on Bald Eagle Creek

Knee-High Naturalist Camp
For the young adventurer who is excited about getting hands-on with nature! Come to Millbrook Marsh to discover wonders of the outdoors through leader-led activities, games, songs, and unstructured nature play Children will explore the marsh and learn about some of the animals and plants that inhabit the wetland ecosystem. Please dress for the weather and plan to get messy! Ages 3-5yrs; must be pottytrained. Each week of camp is different so register for one week, a few weeks, or all!

Nature Wanderers Camp
For curious kids who wish to explore unique habitats within the Centre Region During this educational camp, explorers will learn about birds, native plants, and waterways at various recreation areas Hikers will also participate in nature mindfulness sessions and nature journaling time each day! Great mini adventures at places you can explore with a daypack. Children should be prepared to hike on the first day and to spend each afternoon exploring different environments with an open mind and heart. Please dress for the weather. Families are asked to drop off and pick up their child(ren) at different trailhead locations each day. Please bring a snack, water, and appropriate hiking shoes
