Kenneth Johnson
I am a consultant, author, editor, researcher, historian, adviser, peer reviewer, public speaker, educator, and public intellectual, who first ventured to the Canadian Arctic 44 years ago. I have worked continuously in the Arctic for the past 37 years. I have lived in all three Canadian territorial capitals, and completed planning, and engineering projects in the majority of the communities in the Yukon, Northwest Territories and Nunavut. I am a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Engineers, and a recognized Canadian authority on Arctic and remote WAter, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH), and highly knowledgeable on Pan Arctic WASH. I have delivered presentations and lectures on Arctic WASH in Alaska, Greenland, Norway, Finland, Siberia, China, and India. Since 2005, I have been the editor of the annual Journal of the Northern Territories Water and Waste Association (ntwwa.com/journal) - the Journal will be publishing its 20th edition in 2024.
