The 2010 season marks the 14th year for Wells Patten as The College of St. Scholastica’s head men’s and women’s tennis coach. Patten and the Saints men competed in the NAIA Regional Tournament each of Patten’s first ten years with the team, taking first in 2001 and being tournament runners-up six of the remaining nine years. While the team has yet to make a splash in the NCAA Div.-III Tournament like its female counterparts, they look to Wells Patten change that this season. Head Coach, 14th Season Under Patten’s direction, the Saints men’s tennis team has won 13 Upper Midwest Athletic Conference regular season titles and has earned 10 UMAC postseason championships. In addition, the team has compiled a record of 64-4 against UMAC opponents for a .941 overall winning percentage in conference play. In the last two seasons, Patten produced 10 UMAC All-Conference athletes including two-time Player of the Year, Dillon Sterle.
