University of Missouri Child Development Lab The objective of this project was to create a child development lab for the University of Missouri. The building needed to reflect the surrounding context and architectural style of the University while also bringing in new materials to keep the campus fabric evolving. The building needed to provoke interaction between the children and needed to accommodate all of the needs of a preschool with added space for college students to observe and study the children.

Buffalo Ridge Eco-House The concept of this design was to bend the form of the house to reflect the shoreline of the lake, while also keeping the house as sustainable as possible. By doing this I was able to achieve maximum views to the lake to the south and woods to the north. This created a secluded outdoor space to the north woods and an outdoor environment to the south lake.

Memorial

Fall 2012 | 6 week project

MU Veterans Memorial The concept of this design was to create a new veterans memorial that co-exists, compliments, and blends into the existing memorial. The existing Memorial Tower was constructed in 1926 for the 117 MU soldiers who lost their lives in World War I. My intent is to create a new memorial inside the unfinished tower so that the names of soldiers who have given their full measure since WWI can be added instead of being placed in a different location on campus. The new memorial needs to have a digital remembrance where visitors can learn about past MU veterans and also a tangible reference with the names engraved. This design requires an image that reflects the University of Missouri. This is achieved by designing the new memorial in a way that it does not become its own destination but enhances the experience of the current memorial.

Chapel

Fall 2012 | 8 week project

Multi-Cultural Chapel

The Concept of this design was to create a multi cultural chapel that fulfills the needs of the different religions on the AIMIT campus in Mangalore India. The building itself needed to accommodate the different climates and the different religions. My Intent was to design three spaces, one for large worship, one for private worship, and one to obtain the needs of the church and the campus.

Additional Projects

Furniture Project Building Systems Lab | Fall 2010 - Spring 2011. - The Bar is constructed solely by jointery. The wood used is solid oak and oak playwood. The plexi glass was engraved with the MU tiger logo and MIZZOU TIGERS across the front. Transparent tiger stripes were also etched into the plexi glass. Sketchup Truck Model Side Project | Fall 2011

Furniture Project

Schnabel House Model Enviromental Analysis | Fall 2011 -The objective of this project was to research a famous house or building and construct a 3D diagram. Recycled Card Board Chair Sustainable Technologies | Spring 2012 - This was a group project that involved designing a chair, gathering recycled cardboard, cutting the cardboard, and forming the chair. Graphite Cast Drawing Drawing | Spring 2011 - Using the concept of sighting, measuring, construction lines, accumulation, and perspective, I was able to create a fully realized drawing of a cast in graphite.

Fine Arts Renovation Art Department: Signifi cant renovations to the Fine Arts Building are proposed to providea creative and exciting learning environment by upgrading the class laboratories and faculty studios to current standards. The proposed expanded and renovated facilities are necessary to enhance art education and recruitment of the highest caliber students. Theatre Department: Although well served in the Fine Arts Building, the Theatre Department needs improved and consolidated teaching space to keep pace with the ever changing aspects of performance and production. A performance venue in the form of a studio theatre will replace the current venue which will be demolished with the creation of the new School of Music.

New School of Music In developing the program for the new School of Music building, CFSPM gathered input from School of Music and Acoustics Dimensions (an acoustic consulting firm). The physical and functional space attributes of the future spaces were organized in the following categories: performance areas (recital hall), classrooms, class labs, rehearsal and practice rooms, faculty studios and offices (administrative, faculty, graduate students), support spaces and collaborative space. The proposed School of Music includes 54,000 assignable square footage, a 76% increase from the current assignable space found in five buildings across campus.
