Another Great Edition and I say that because after 80 Editions I am still excited to see it in print and most of all the expanded Web Edition. Amanda who dominates the Cover, Centerfold, Pet Page, NASCAR and a CTM Ad as well as page 2 and 20 more pages in the web edition, was up for this Edition. Amanda deserves this as being our makeup artist, I couldn’t wait to see her through the lens and she did not disappoint with a final 368 shots we had to decide from. The feedback we get from the readership about the CTM Gal of the month is it is great entertainment after long hours on the road along with the jokes and great articles not to forget games. You asked CTM to be your entertainment magazine and we have lived up to that, trying to provide your requests for what you want, after all CTM is built for you! After seeing trucks all day long on the road and in the truck stops and yards, last thing you need on the cover of a magazine is a truck. As well, this gives a model a break and a chance to deliver a message each month in your CTM.

Some of these Gals are the hard working servers you see at your favorite stops and if you see that, don’t forget to bring your copy in and ask them to sign it. Shows you appreciate the effort they put into it for you. I am out on the road or in the truck stops most of the time, so if you see me, stop me and let me know what more we can add to your book. If there is a product or service that can help our brothers & sisters out there, and it is really good, let me know so we can maybe get the word out, put it in the magazine. That’s what your CTM is for entertainment and great products. Did you know CTM now has over 13,600 fans on facebook and our digital magazine has hit over 90,000 readers ! Thank-you ! LIKE our FB. Large Spools of Wire ~ Or is It ?

CBP, U.S. Customs & Border Protection, ElPaso, Texas, found 1,365 pounds of marijuana hidden in these spools of coiled wire cable; current street value estimated at 1,092,000.00. The load was being hauled on a flatbed trailer carrying six spools of wound cable, when the driver was sent over for secondary screening, it was detected during x-ray examination as well as by Bianca, the drug sniffing dog. CBP Officers removed the cable from one of spools first and there discovered that the spools had been modified to hide the marijuana within the center of the spools. There was a huge amount found, talk about a good hiding place eh! The driver and the person whom placed the drugs into those spools sure weren’t counting on the x-ray and dog to catch them! 641 bundles of marijuana were discovered on this flatbed truck. Obviously the truck and the trailer were seized immediately. BROWNSVILLE, Texas— Officers with U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Office of Field Operations (OFO) at the Gateway International Bridge in Brownsville arrested two persons from Matamoros, Tamaulipas, Mexico in connection with two separate, unrelated incidents involving seizures of alleged cocaine.

10

“Our officers' continued vigilance and perseverance is evident by the detection of these two small but significant interceptions of hard

narcotics,” said Port Director Petra Horne, Brownsville Port of Entry. “These interceptions are excellent examples of how our officers continue to use their experience, knowledge, and all available resources to detect and interdict the flow of illegal narcotics." The first incident occurred on May 12 at the Gateway International Bridge after CBP officers encountered and referred a 36-year-old female Mexican citizen driving a blue 2008 Ford Edge for a secondary inspection.

During the course of the examination, officers discovered and seized four packages of alleged cocaine weighing approximately 9.7 pounds, which have an estimated street value of $74,800 and also seized the vehicle.

CBP OFO seized the narcotics valued at approximately $95,540 and seized the Lincoln as well. CBP OFO arrested both persons who were ultimately released to the custody of Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) agents for further investigation.

On May 14, at the same border crossing, CBP officers referred a beige 2001 Lincoln LS driven by a 30-year-old male Mexican citizen for further inspection. While examining the vehicle in secondary, officers discovered five packages of alleged cocaine with an estimated weight of 12.39 pounds.

Note from Dave!

If you see suspicious activity, persons asking you for a ride across the border in your vehicle, a loose lipped driver talking about smuggling loads of weapons or drugs, do us all a big favour and contact authorities. Try to get as much information as possible without becoming involved and shut these bad guys down. They are bad for our business.

This is Tabitha. I have had her since I was 7 and got her as a kitten.

My dad had taken me to a farm with tons of cats to pick one out and she came up to me right away. As soon as I picked her up I knew she was the one. I remember as a little girl doing everything with her and I had even made her a bed from a doll bunk bed. I removed the bottom board and stuck a pillow inside. Draped the bed with a blanket and I had decorated it with fake roses. She would sleep in the bed and I would usually fall asleep on the floor beside her with my own little blanket and pillow. I was living with my mom while Tabitha stayed at my dads. Tabitha ran away from my dads when I was 12. It was one of the worst feelings I had ever felt. I had looked for her everywhere and had even brought other cats' home hoping they were her. Cats which my dad had to return to where I had found them. I just missed her so much. And after a few months passing by, and winter showing up, I had given up most of my hope of finding her. 6 months went by and I was over at the neighbour's house one evening when we heard a Meow coming from underneath their truck.

This cat walked out and came right up to me and just looked at me. I remember telling the neighbour “oh my god! That looks like my cat!” I picked her up and ran over to my mom who was standing by our front door. I had asked her if she thought the cat was Tabitha, she checked her ear and told me we would call the vet the next day to find out. When my mom called the vet the lady told her that the tattoo was registered under my dad's name. My mom said “you have got to be Shi**ing me!” I guess the lady was a little surprised at my mom's reaction, but she explained that it was her daughter's cat that had been missing for 6 months. My mom lives about 7 miles away from my dad and she had never been to my moms place before. But she found me, through winter yet and she didn’t have anything wrong with her other than a couple of burs stuck in her fur. She’s been with me ever since. I’ll be 24 this year which makes her 18 in human years, but she still acts like a kitten most days. And even though she’s getting up there in age, she’s still perfect in every way, cheers me up whenever I get down, and is always there to greet me at the door when I get home from work.

By Marc Palud Xp3 Canada Xp3 is the Fuel Upgrader

X p 3

Every once in a while, we come across new technologies that improves our lifestyles, businesses and health. Getting access to new products & services capable of positive changes has always been an exciting part of life. The challenge consumers face in today's marketplace is finding products that stand out from the others, doing our research, then personally putting the product to the test. Xp3 is one of those new and important technologies that is making positive changes to owner operators and fleets all over the transportation industry.

Without Xp3 Treated Fuel

A 他 ton diesel truck that normally consumes 16 litres to travel 100 kilometers, assuming that the cost of diesel is at $1 per litre and the truck has a 100 litre tank. One tank will get 625 kilometers of distance travelled at a cost of $100 for the diesel for a per kilometer cost of 16 cents per km.

32

With Xp3 Enhanced Fuel

By being able to extract more energy out of the fuel, the same 他 ton diesel truck gains a minimum of 3% better fuel economy and now consumes 15.5 litres for every 100 kilometers travelled. Add $3 for the Xp3 fuel treatment, and the cost to travel 645 kilometers is $103, for a cost per kilometer travelled being at 16 cents per km. At a 3% improvement, Xp3 becomes a NET-ZERO cost product to use and all of the other benefits gained by using Xp3 are at NO COST. That $3 of Xp3 gained you 20 additional kilometers travelled providing you with an instant return on investment. If your vehicle nets better than a 3% improvement in fuel economy, then Xp3 becomes a profit generator providing you more value than it costs in kilometers travelled alone and all of the other benefits are still at NO COST. See one of our participating dealers for full details. For more information on Xp3, go to

www.Xp3Canada.com

or call

1-800-507-4107.

Canada is now starting to see more truck drivers and owner operators smiling and feeling better about their businesses after they experience first-hand benefits of the new Xp3 Fuel Enhancer.

NASCAR: An American Salute Launches with 600 Miles of Remembrance Sport to Honor Fallen Service Members with Windshield Tribute at Coca-Cola 600

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (May 18, 2015) — When NASCAR® drivers start their engines for Sunday’s Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway, fans will see familiar names like “Harvick,” “Kenseth” and “Almirola” replaced on car windshields with “SGT Mracek,” “HM3 Layton” and “CPT Argel” – United States Armed Forces members who have fallen in service to their country. All 43 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series drivers will participate in “600 Miles of Remembrance” on Memorial Day Weekend to honor military service members and their families, and commemorate the launch of NASCAR: An American Salute™, the industry’s collective expression of reverence, respect and gratitude for those who have served and continue to defend our nation today. Fans can follow stories around the seven-week platform and share their personal

expressions of thanks to the military using #NASCAR Salutes on social media. “The NASCAR community rallying to honor the U.S. Armed Forces, past and present, has long been part of our sport’s heritage,” said Brent Dewar, NASCAR chief operating officer. “As part of NASCAR: An American Salute, 600 Miles of Remembrance represents a special moment in time as we pay tribute to service members who have sacrificed dearly for our freedom.” Many of the service members whose names will be displayed on the race cars were chosen by the teams, and some have unique connections to the fallen. Private Dean Van Dyke, who was killed in the Vietnam War, was a relative of No. 16 Roush Fenway Racing driver Greg Biffle. Army First Lieutenant Daniel Hyde, killed during Operation Iraqi Freedom, served alongside Chris Clayton, tire changer on the No. 83 BK Racing team.

Many of the families of the service members being recognized will be in attendance on Sunday, and will be introduced alongside the drivers during driver introductions. In addition, Charlotte Motor Speedway will host more than 6,000 active military members at the Coca-Cola 600 in honor of Memorial Day. NASCAR: An American Salute will feature various onand off-track activities from tracks, teams and partners that show appreciation and support for the troops, and will culminate Independence Day Weekend with the Coke Zero 400 at Daytona International Speedway. This weekend, NASCAR together with Honor and Remember, Inc., will display specially prepared Honor and Remember flags representing those who have died in service to our country from each of the 50 United States throughout the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series garage at Charlotte Motor Speedway. Throughout the campaign, NASCAR will host military families at each NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race as part of NASCAR Troops to the Track™ Presented by Bank of America. Toyota will also honor

the names of fallen service members on its pace cars for the Coca-Cola 600 as part of 600 Miles of Remembrance. Later in the program, both Chevrolet and Ford will feature patriotic branding on the pace cars for races at Pocono and Michigan, respectively. Many NASCAR Official Partners have mobilized to support NASCAR: An American Salute with military-themed activations, including:

• For the sixth straight year, Goodyear is rallying NASCAR fans to support members of the U.S. Armed Forces through its “Goodyear Gives Back” charitable program benefitting the Support Our Troops® organization. To kick off the program, Goodyear will once again transform its NASCAR race tires by replacing the “Eagle” sidewall design with “Support Our Troops” messaging on all tires used during Memorial Day weekend at Charlotte Motor Speedway. This effort coincides with the May 21 launch of Goodyear's charity auction at www.Goodyear.com/GivesBack, which features autographed NASCAR memorabilia, VIP race experiences and rides on the Goodyear Blimp.

• Bank of America is the presenting partner of NASCAR Troops to the Track – a seasonlong program that honors members of the military and their families for their services, and treats them to a NASCAR race experience. This program is an extension of Bank of America’s long-standing commitment to the military, focused on helping veterans and service members’ transition to civilian life.

• NASCAR, Coca-Cola, Mars Chocolate North America and 3M have collaborated to engage shoppers in over 180 military commissaries. On Tuesday, May 19, there will be allday activation at Fort Bragg Commissary South featuring an appearance by Coca-Cola Racing Family Member Joey Logano, who will be giving away tickets to the Coca-Cola 600. From May 18 to July 8, commissary shoppers can enter the 2015 Champion’s Week Sweepstakes for a chance to win a trip to Las Vegas for NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Champion’s Week by texting “NASCARSALUTE” to 313131 or by visiting www.championsweek2015.com.

in partnership with Operation Gratitude, encouraging fans to send messages of thanks and appreciation to military members. The notes will be included in more than 100,000 Operation Gratitude Care Packages which will be assembled and shipped to Troops deployed in harm’s way and to New Recruits upon their graduation from Boot Camp.

• During Daytona International Speedway’s Coke Zero 400, all active duty military, veterans and their families can enjoy the Troops Welcome Center Presented by M&M’s. The center, which will be located in the midway, will be fully equipped with food and beverages, allowing service members to take a break and meet NASCAR drivers throughout the weekend.

• In honor of the military, Miss Sprint Cup will wear NASCAR: An American Salute fire suits at the Coca-Cola 600 and Coke Zero 400.

This Sunday, NASCAR drivers will discuss 600 Miles of Remembrance on SiriusXM NASCAR Radio (channel 90) during a special military tribute show airing at 1 p.m. ET. Marc Springer, star of A&E’s hit TV sho

38

Marc Springer from A&E’s hit TV Show “Shipping Wars” is a passionate guy. If you have ever seen his show, you will know that it’s this passion and Marc’s no “BS” attitude that has helped Marc find success in trucking as well as in front of the camera. Having been on Shipping Wars for 100 episodes now, Marc knows what it takes to be successful in trucking as well as on Television. “Nothing is ever easy but when you have the right formula, and you are willing to put in the effort, it just works!” One of Marc’s passions, when not on the road in his Kenworth or filming for his show, is the sport of Waterfowl Hunting. “Just getting out in the blind and spending time with good friends is always a great time.” Marc is a firm believer that by respecting the wildlife, educating the youth, and focusing on conservation and responsible land use this sport will continue to be enjoyed by generations to come. To pursue his goals of keeping the sport alive, Marc’s company, Snortn’ Boar Transport recently signed on as an

advertiser with a new Television show on The Pursuit Channel called “Waterfowl Evolution” that focuses on these ideals. Waterfowl Evolution follows Ryan Swartz, Stuart Harr, Austin Lindsey and Diesel (Austin’s Yellow Lab) as they share with the world their passion for Waterfowl hunting and the lifestyle that surrounds it. As Marc puts it: “These guys really are passionate about what they do and I respect that. Show them your support by tuning in and checking out the show. Also, remember to like them on facebook!” Ryan Swartz's father started him hunting at four years old. When he turned six, he got his first rifle, a .22. When Ryan turned eight, he got himself a single-shot 20 gauge shotgun. Needless to say, he's had the passion for hunting waterfowl ever since. He enjoys the camaraderie of being in the blind. During the off season he's either fishing or hunting other game. It's hard to find Ryan indoors, and if you ever have the chance to meet him, it will most likely be outdoors where he loves sharing the experience with others. Stuart Harr got into hunting roughly 12 years ago when he purchased his first shotgun. He was introduced to the sport by means of "self-inviting" himself to go hunting with one of the guys from work. There was just something about that first trip he will always remember. Sleeping in the blind to hold their spot while the other guys went back to get the rest of the decoys was a totally new experience for him. That trip sparked a passion in Stuart that still burns strong today. Stuart would like to pass on his love for the sport, not only to his own son, but also to every young hunter he meets. Austin Lindsey has been a fireman for the last 8 years following in his father’s footsteps. Austin was introduced to waterfowl hunting shortly after becoming a career fireman and, much like his job, hunting became an immediate passion. Austin has always enjoyed working with dogs and wanted a lab to share the hunt with. Diesel who is coming up on 3 years old and Hallie a black lab female puppy love nothing more than being with Austin on a hunt. With a natural knack for training, it quickly became Austin’s focus during the off-season. Whether at work, in a duck blind, or out training his dogs Austin strives to be the best he can be and to help others better themselves as well. On the show, the team explores the rich history surrounding the sport. There is so much more to

ow “Shipping Wars” and Owner/Operator of Snortn’ Boar Transport water fowl hunting than just “pulling the trigger”. The entire team at PNW Productions and Waterfowl Evolution is committed to family friendly and ethical hunting practices in line with the International Hunter Education Association’s published code of ethics and respected organizations such as Ducks Unlimited and Delta Waterfowl. It is the goal of Waterfowl Evolution to share with the viewer that true multi-generational passion and love of the outdoors that drives this sport. With a focus on history, education, land use/conservation, proper gear/product reviews, dog training, and of course, epic hunts, our team lives life to the fullest sharing their adventures with friends, family, and the viewers at home. Waterfowl Evolution makes every day an adventure. Tune in to the Pursuit Channel (Direct TV channel 604 and Dish Network channel 393) on Sundays at 8:30pm PST. It seems like yesterday but 40 years ago Jack Shields and his 3 sons (Clarence, Jim & John) started their first restaurant an A&W, in a small northern town called Fort McMurray. At that time there were less then 5,000 people living in that community. From there they expanded to include the Fort’s first Smitty’s Pancake House & Diary Queen franchises, the Garden Cafe, Willies and Oriellys & the Stags Head Inn. As Fort McMuuray continued to grow so did the Shields family business. In 1986 after the introduction of the Liberal National Energy Program the family lost all their business and were forced to start all over again. Some 25 years ago Jack and Clarence started all over again by operating a restaurant located the Nisku Truck Stop. From there they continued to grow acquiring the Airways Country Inn and numerous other business interests. Brother Jim and his wife Jody ventured off to start a successful greenhouse operation, while John continued on with an award winning career in radio. Blackjacks Roadhouse and Games Room is a brand new building been created to host Clarence’s latest vision, this outstanding and beautiful building features amazing truss work and a 2nd floor grand stage over- looking our room. They boast the best buffet in the area, as well as a great Canadian & Chinese cuisine menu. Our games room is furnished with 25 V.L.T.s, 5 Minute Keno, Sports Select. Watch and play all the sports from our comfortable lounge. Trucker Friendly Please come by anytime and enjoy our menu and great service. Open 24 hours a day featuring specials daily. Spend some time wandering around looking at one of the largest collection of oilfield, trucking and car racing memorabilia dating back some 100 + years.
