We would have to start with the name Seaforth and how it came about. In December 1978 there was an overwhelming demand for professional security in Canada. Before that date security in Canada with the exception of the Corp of Commissionaires were mostly night watchmen with little training and sometimes a lot of baggage. Most were qualified to pick up shopping carts at your local grocery store or sit in a guard shack for long boring hours. Not at
all like the uniformed trained members of Seaforth that appeared in Western Canada. This elite team of mostly retired Military and Police needed a strong name to represent a professional security force. Since the company was founded by the MacKENZIE Family with the head MacKENZIE being the Earl of Seaforth hence the name Seaforth was adopted along with the MacKENZIE Coat of Arms proudly worn by every Seaforth Member.
