The Fashion Magazine with Creative Flare
Merry Christmas from Creative Talent Magazine Creative Talent or CT Magazine is the brain child of North Yorkshire based fashion, advertising and pinup photographer Sean J Connolly. When not taking photographs Sean is advising companies on IT strategy, and after looking at several hundred magazines waiting for meetings, Sean noticed that all magazines had a commonality, that being very little credit for the people involved. So using his creative and technical skills, CT Magazine was born. CT Magazine is a fashion magazine with a difference. Not only do we contain the latest fashion trends both on and off the high street, but we cover all areas of fashion including apparall and beauty. "So what is so special about that?" We believe all talent is of equal importance. It is our aim at CT Magazine to showcase the talent involved in bringing you the photos we see everyday, from the photographers, models, make up artists to the hair stylists, fashion designers as well as writers, bloggers and journalists. Every photo and article in the magazine is accompanied by full credit for everyone involved in bringing you the image.
Can I Get Involved? YES!
If you would like to be featured in the next issue of CT Magazine, just get in touch.
"Welcome to the third issue of CT Magazine. I decided for this special Christmas issue that we would do our bit for the festive season, as this is the season of goodwill and giving. I am honoured to feature two great charity drives in this issue. 'Not your Usual Christmas' display at Selfridges in London by Bruce Weber is putting a very different yet still traditional slant on Christmas whilst raising thousands for Children in Need and is kinda the theme for this issue, Chiristmas with a twist. (page 1 0) We are also supporting the ITV 1 Text Santa Charity this year, and helping raise money for some great causes, not to mention a great night of TV. Make sure you watch Text Santa on ITV 1 21st Dec 2012. (page 45) Merry Christmas to all our readers and HUGE thank you to everyone for being part of CT Magazine"

"I feel extremely lucky to be allowed the opportunity to model. The beginnings of what could be a career have somewhat fallen on my plate, and began developing rapidly of their own accord. I know that many struggle tirelessly for years to be given a chance to shine in this field, and I wonder if given the ease of my introduction whether it will be an uphill struggle from here on in!

I would no way deem myself worthy of being called a "professional" model; yes I am paid for what I do, however I believe this title takes years of hard work to really achieve. I have only really been modelling for the last six months, although if you asked my mother sheO-Brien would probably Photographer - Darren suggest that I modelled Model - Nick Danks my way out of her womb, and looking back at some of my childhood photos I would probably, cringingly, agree! After a nudge from a friend I started out, as many do, using online portfolio sites to gain my confidence, and after being scouted by an agency, began to test with some wonderful photographers very quickly. As I am based in Surrey I have been blessed with being able to easily shoot in many great studios and locations throughout Greater London."

I'm not a great "poser" when it comes to modelling, maybe this is because I am relatively new to the field and still have lots to learn about shaping the body. Instead, I prefer natural shots, where a certain look or feeling is captured in the moment. I also love the freedom of a studio shoot, it is invariably a blank canvas on which you can really build up a picture and create almost anything. 6

I’m not going to lie to you – back in the day when I was a kid, in the not too dista Christmas was all about the presents! Oh yes. Being woken early (okay so it wasn’t exactly but when you’re twelve, 9am starts during the holidays are unappreciated at best) to church in the morning, demolishing ridiculous amounts of food during the turkey-lade (even though I wasn’t ever really hungry by this time due to shovelling in so much ch before the clock even hit midday), and being forced to spend time with out-of-town that I didn’t even like that much – were all just a means to a shredded-wrapping-pap ribbon EXPLOSIVE end. Anything that came before or after was a letdown. Don’t judge me you were probably the same - but if by some Christmas miracle you simply just spending time with the family, and the receiving of gifts was merely the sparkly star on to evergreen tree, I take my paper crown off to you, you little diamond! As for the rest of u worry, we were simply kids being kids. So, how about this year, we all do things a little di and give something to somebody who has never had a Christmas?
The spectacularly glamorous British retailer Selfridges can always be counted on to jump the commercial box, and present the whole family with an excitingly innovative sh experience – and this year is certainly no exception. In celebration of their ‘Not yo Christmas’ initiative for 2012, they have enlisted the help of legendary fashion photograp filmmaker Bruce Weber to not only create a very special campaign advert, but also to de exclusive unisex t-shirt in partnership with Kids Company. A substantial £10.50 (more than the retail price) from every t-shirt sale will go directly to the London-based charity (founde in 1996 by the notoriously flamboyant leader Camila Batmanghelidjh) which is key in p practical, emotional and educational support to inner-city children at risk; and its servic reach more than 17,000 children across the city, including the most deprived and vulnera

Bruce’s slogan design has been cleverly positioned to echo the shape of a Christmas tree, and has been carefully hand drawn bearing the thought provoking statement ‘Give something to somebody that has never had a Christmas’. Fashion is slowly but surely finding its heart. So for just £20, you can bag yourself a limited-edish Selfridges Bruce Weber t-shirt, AND hopefully change a kid’s life. Aside from the standard be given an invisibility cloak/George Clooney marriage proposal/ win the lottery scenarios, what more could you possibly want for Christmas? 13

Luckily, there comes that natural ‘time to-be-a-grown-up-(but only sometimes)’ transition that we all awkwardly stumble through, where Christmas is no longer marked by receiving and becomes rather more about the selfless act of giving. Think about that old expression, the best things in life are free... it’s clichéd I know, but that’s only because it’s true. And now as you go to sit down around the table with your nearest and dearest, it finally dawns on you that moments like these are the ones to be cherished, because in a world like ours, you just don’t know how many more you’re going to be lucky enough to get. It’s precious moments like these that make every Christmas truly special, and it’s moments like these that will never leave us. First love, sweet sixteens, being able to drink (legally), finally getting your driving license, graduating from uni, moving out, getting married, and having kids are all well and good, but I think that there are more significant milestones that we are blessed enough to experience; we just don’t often realise it at the time. I believe that adulthood is truly marked by the moment when you finally care about someone else in this world more than you care about yourself. The realisation that in the grand scheme of things, you are a very tiny piece in an incomprehensible puzzle; and that every human life is equal, regardless of what tries to divide us. It hadn’t properly registered on my mind until now that there are kids living alongside me here in the UK who may never have experienced the magic of Christmas... the distinctively fresh smell of a pine tree, the special warmth that brews inside a well-loved home, and the priceless gift of someone making your wish come true. I don’t know about you, but in my books, anyone being deprived of that is just NOT okay. Every child should have the opportunity, to be just that. Every child has the right to innocently make a wish with the hope that it might just come true. Every child should believe that the world is full of magic. Because it is. And wishes do come true every day. With a little help from Bruce & co, this one promises not to be your usual Christmas. So this year, be sure to make your wish. And believe in it, with all your heart. Now wait... And just watch it come true.

At present, I enjoy attending shoots with my friend and fellow model, Sinea we have contrasting looks and work well together. Stars on Mars Designer Jewellery As cold weather descends upon us, our fashion can’t help but change with the seasons. There are many traditional autumn and winter colour palettes to choose from: deep reds, rich mochas, greens and greys. Stars on Mars Jewellery Company, a new all-handmade accessories boutique online offers lots of different boho and classic styles to accent any ensemble, no matter the time of year. The pieces in the current Autumn/Winter and Spring collections present bold colour combinations in turquoise, copper, purples, fuschias and greens to mention a few. Here are a few suggestions from the Stars on Mars collection to spice up your fall wardrobe. Pair a bold statement piece like the Turquoise Column necklace to a chunky knit sweater, or opt for a long boho strand of green and multi-colored agate beads a’ la the Spring Fever knotted necklace, under your favourite cardigan. Feeling a bit more mysterious? Add a bit of intrigue to your outfit by mix-matching an oxblood blazer or heavy pant with Purple Gypsy, a long bronze necklace with gypsy fan pieces fringed in lavender Czech glass, with agate and glass accents in shades of purple, periwinkle and aurora borealis Swarovski crystals.
"Gorgeous pair w with bri Should your ensemble be too bold on its own to need any additional colour, you can’t go wrong with a clear glass necklace. With two equally unique clear glass crystal options in the collection, the Industrial Glass has sparkling aurora borealis Swarovski crystal accents on a silver chain, while the Glass Links necklace is all clear beads with beautiful links of glass beads on each side finished with a silver chain. Either necklace can be the perfect final touch to an already colourful outfit, or useful when you want to keep your colours minimal.

On those overcast days, why not match that grey day with your best smoky grey dress, and raise it with a deep fuschia necklace? Gorgeous shades of grey pair wonderfully with bright fuschia, especially when it’s coming from the Pink Rocker necklace. This audacious necklace is made of chunky dark and bright hot pink druzy agate (the centre agate bead is almost as big as a handful!), finished with long rose quartz drops and a rose quartz star. Even more rose quartz beads and plum crystals continue throughout the strand.
Finally, when the snow begins to fall or the rain starts to pour, it may take a bit more effort when you want to make your fashion statement. Take a bright statement piece like the Crystals Rock five-strand necklace, described as a “carnival of colour,” and pair it with a dark or light outfit. This beautiful statement piece is full of jade, dyed a rainbow of colours from hot pink to cool green, rose quartz, blue agate, glass crystal, and accented with glowing opalite drops on a copper chain. It is certain this necklace can be spotted in any storm! For a more demure, yet bright colour statement, the Pretty lil Pink is one of the most popular items in the collection. Pretty lil Pink is a single strand of dyed pink jade finished with blue crystals and accented with 24k gold plated seed beads, and Swarovski crystals. This necklace looks awesome with winter white, and perfect for day or evening.
s shades of grey wonderfully ight fuschia."
No matter what, make a bold statement regardless of the weather, and as always, have fun with fashion!

Fashion Photographer
What started out as an expensive hobby has now become a full time profession. I am self taught and originally I mainly shot sports and landscapes. My eyes were opened to the creative potential of fashion portraiture after attending a fashion shoot experience run by the amazing Miss Aniela and her partner Matt (www.fashionshootexperience.com).
Although the majority of my income comes from lifestyle and commercial portraiture, fashion shoots are still my absolute favourite as I love the creative opportunities they present. I have traditionally mainly shot on location but I am in the process of setting up and launching a new studio based in Crewe, Cheshire. Recently, I was approached by Pretty in Punk (www.prettyinpunkclothing.net) who were looking for some original images to help promote their new line of bespoke, hand tiedied and customised clothing. They were keen for the images to be in line with their youthful, punky, grunge brand and as such had secured a fantastic location in a pub basement which was perfect for the shoot (if a little damp!).
I was given free rein once we were in the location and we found some great backdrops that added a sense of atmosphere without drawing the attention away from the clothing. The whole team enjoyed the shoot and everyone was a pleasure to work with. I can't wait to get the new studio up and running and to start creating some new images and hopefully get more some more fashion work through the door!

Hi I'm Jamie, 'and I have a secret'. Well, I did. That was before I starred in BBC3 documentary Jamie: Drag Queen at 16 in July 2011. I shared with a global audience of millions my transition into adulthood and my more than just uncommon career choice of becoming a drag queen.
I base my character, Fifi la True, on glamour, beauty, sex appeal and fashion over pure comedy. 36

Fashion & Portraiture Photographer I am coming to the end of my final year studying BA photography. In the past year I have come to realise that it is working with people I enjoy the most. I enjoy the creative process, from fashion to make up to editing and I hope to keep reaching out to more people with similar views. My aim is to have links with a variety of people who need a photographer or a creative mind, and work together (makeup artists, models and designers etc.) For this shoot, I worked with the drag queen Fifi la True. This image was used as part of my current fairy-tale topic as the Ice Queen.

I first got into photography whilst taking my a-levels, taking the course with the attitude I’d achieve an easy grade and with the expectation that all that I needed to do was point the camera at anyone and anything, click, produce, pass... Wrong! It was techinical, interesting and new!
Having only ever been taught to shoot and produce in film during that period and having done so for the following 5 to 6 years, I only decided to take a gamble and invest in my first digital SLR around a year and a half ago sticking to what I trusted in: Nikon.
Registering onto some 'model meets photographer' websites with my new digital SLR, I decided to make an attempt to shoot the fashion styles (among others) I was so interested in from the photobooks of my studies: Vogue, Sports Illustrated, David Bailey etc. (the usual suspects) and after the initial difficulties getting those first shoots under my belt, the under and over exposures out of my system and poor idea comunication, the running around on the cold mornings, in the dark or in the rain with models, started to become enjoyable and I have enjoyed every shoot more and more since. Being based in the heart of the Midlands, I am on the cusp of some great locations, be it the natural beauty of Derbyshire, the Victorian buildings of Nottingham or the industrial looks of Birmingham. I find myself shooting mainly location based photos and honestly, it’s what I prefer to do. I’m near to it, so I’ll try to use it!
