HANNAH What is your name and where are you based? I'm Hannah Marie, and I'm based In Somerset. How did you get into modelling and how long have you been doing it? I got into modelling because of my mum, she took photos of me at a very young age and I've loved it ever since! I started working with other photographers when I was 14 though and have been working hard ever since. What types of modelling do you do? I like to do a bit of everything from fashion up to erotica and artistic nude. Have you modelled for any well known brands or names? I'm sponsored by Retro Classic Clothing and also will be working with brands such as Roll The Credits Clothing, Star Boy Apparel and Fight Clothing UK, with much more in the pipe line. Do you prefer working on location or in a studio? Location! I love doing different stuff, I would rather have loads of different backgrounds to work with rather than just studio ones, although saying that I do enjoy working in studios. What do your friends and family think of you being a model? All my friends and family are amazing, they all back me 100 percent in what I do. It's great to have such supportive people around me. What is the furthest place you have travelled for a shoot? I would have to say Cornwall for a shoot with Dale Pointon Photography, but so worth it, the images are awesome! What preparations do you do before a shoot? I like to be organised, I get my nails done so they look great. I also make a list to make sure I have everything in place. What do you think makes a good model? I think personally a model that has ideas makes a good model. I find that input from other models is so much better especially when a model and photographer come up with awesome ideas as a team. What's your favourite shoot you have ever done? I would have to say to date would have to be with Scott Morgan, I have admired his work for so long and always wanted to work with him. When I did, I have to say I was so stoked with all the images; he's a great photographer to work with and really taught me a lot on our shoot.

MARIE - MODEL - SOMERSET ENGLAND

After working with James for quite some time, showcasing his work on these pages in several issues, we were finally able to grab time in his extremely busy schedule to interview him. We wanted to delve into his hopes and dreams, and most importantly about his photography and what he seens in his future. We know for sure it's going to be a successful one. Born in the Philippines with a twin brother, John, to Irish father, Thomas, and Philipinian mother, Anatolia, James moved to Italy aged only six. There he grew up until aged 16 he set off for England, London bound. Initially it was the dream to become a professional poker player, a passion he persued for four years. A career in photography had never been a consideration until the purchase of his first ever DSLR as a birthday treat to himself ignited the new found interest.

"I never thought I would end up as a photographer, I didn t grew up with a camera in my hands. I just remember my dad owning an Olympus that had different lenses and equipment." I started taking pictures with what was available for me at the time: streets, architecture, landscapes and just random people. I felt this urge to understand the process behind a picture: the technical and mental aproach, and I wqnted to learn all I could to achieve and perfect the visualization in my head."

James Oliver Connolly - Fashion Photographer- London

"I progessed into portrait photography when I had a chance meeting with Zack Arias - one of the leading portait photographers in the world, I Had this great opportunity to chat with Zack and his wife Meghan, who are both incredible artists. Zack's very classic approach inspired me to move in to portraits. I can't honestly say which direction within fashion I may go, as it is still very fresh for me, but I'm constantly researching new styles."

Photographer: James Oliver Connolly Model: Melie Lemiere

" am inspired by the graphic look of Dave Hill, and a young photographer with a great style: El Rey Volution. He and Petr Pilsky are the reason I started photoshop editing. They have that edge and style that can only be achieved with a good knowledge of editing. Yulbriner Montanaro and Bella Ortiz are my main mentors at the moment, just great people who are very open. Neil Jayaratne from London is another I respect. I learn so much from these people We've all kind of become friends through photography. I know these are not the classical names that people are used to hear, but they will be and are right now for me."

Photographer: James Oliver Connolly Model: Flavio Recchia

"I love working in the studio and on location but if there is a chance in going to location it is better. Sometimes shooting in studio is necessary, especially for beauty shoots, but also handy when the weather is bad, or if a location is suddenly unavailable. My biggest support comes from my fiancee, Julia. Friends are supportive too but sometimes, because they don't see behind the image, they don't understand the process, the preparation, networking, and then all the editing in the many hours you're away from the camera. To be a good photographer, in my opinion, means having that 'eye'; being able to look for something different in what is ordinary. Attaining a style that expresses your views and ideas and making them become an image, and knowing when boundaries are crossed. An artistic nude can easily become vulger if not well executed. To be a good, progressing photographer you need to be humble, accept and understand critique. So many admirable, great photographers all have their feet on the ground. But possibly the most important aspect is to have a great team, something I am slowly building on. The make up artist and hair stylist, Julia Bartnicka and photography assistant Luca Minasola, who are essential to me. What's been my favourite shoot of all time? That would have to be the snowboard shoot I did this past winter in Poland. That was very weird - and cold!"

Aleksandra Markowska - Fashion Photographer- Mancheste www.facebook.com/a.markowska.photo

My name's Aleksandra and I'm a student at University of Salford, Manchester. I'm originally from Poland, but came to live in Manchester in 2007. Did you always want to be a photographer? My adventure with photography came suddenly. I started photographing out of boredom, which turned into a real interest in photography. Photography is my passion, this is me and my world. What style of photography do you specialise in? Mainly fashion photography but I also like to photograph glamour, portrait and nude. Do you prefer working on location or in a studio? Most of the photos I do are on location showing the beauty of Manchester. I had a chance to work in the studio for the first time in University and I wasn't impressed. It is a good place for bad weather but for me photos made in the studio are all the same with the dull background. What do your friends and family think of you being a photographer? I'm not a person who likes to brag about their work. My whole family is talented, but in art. Honestly they all hoped that I'd be a conservator of monuments or something like that. They like my work, like my friends do too, but without much interest. What preparations do you do before a shoot? Before a photoshoot I set the style and plan what how my model will dress, the date, time and location. I do everything and think about everything. It is important for me that my model looks good and feels good. What do you think makes a good photographer? Imagination, commitment and creativity. An expensive camera does not make someone a 'good' photographer. What's your favourite shoot you have ever done? I do not separate my work for good, less or bad. Every single time I try to give all the best. One of the photoshoots that I am proud of is one that I did in the studio; I'm pleased with myself because as a beginner working in the studio I'm happy with the pictures. Who inspires you? The One and most important photographer to me is Norman Parkinson, his work has a big impact on my own. My big dream is to work as a photographer of great fame. To be able to do photos of a model known throughout the world and the icons, such as Naomi Campbell.

What is your name and where are you based? I'm Tiina Keskitupa-Smith, aka Tiina K. I'm originally from Finland, lived 12 years in UK, and now living in San Diego, California. How did you get into modelling and how long have you been doing it? I wanted to be a model since I was a teenager but didn't know how to get into it. At 26, in 2010 when I left my job I started looking for modelling work and found modelling sites like Purestorm and Model Mayhem and started getting work from there, so I've been modelling for 4 years now. What types of modelling do you do? Fashion, glamour, nude and erotic. Most of my work is nude or erotic, but I like to do different things. I also do life art modelling and sometimes tv extra work. Have you modelled for any well known brands or names? I've shot for loads of websites, more or less known, been extra on some films and in adverts such as Blackberry and Citroen. Do you prefer working on location or in a studio? In the UK I worked mainly in studios and here in California it's mainly location which is a nice change. There's loads of beautiful locations here and it's lovely weather most of the time. What do your friends and family think of you being a model? My sister Riikka has done some modelling and we did some shoots together when she visited me in London. Mum has asked questions about my modelling before and I think she was bit shocked about the nudity part, but everyone is ok with my modelling. My husband is lovely and supportive, when not every guy would be so cool with their girl getting nude for camera. He cares about my safety on shoots and I'm more selective about who I work with. What is the furthest place you have travelled for a shoot? When I lived in the UK I was travelling to shoots around Europe: Italy, Finland, Holland, Belgium, Ireland, Spain, and in the UK the longest travel was 6hrs one way. Now I try to work locally in San Diego, but willing to travel to Los Angeles. What preparations do you do before a shoot? Check the travel, plan my looks and outfits, pack day before, do my hair and makeup before I go, and then just finish off my makeup when I get to shoot.

I came to the USA last year and got married to my man in November in Las Vegas. We have a cat who we rescued from the humane society, and we're planning to rescue a dog sometime. I'm still getting work offers in UK which is funny. I do feel like I'm starting again as I don't know many people here in California, and not many photographers know me here yet.

My name is Diana Vasiliev, I am 18 years old and have been a part of two issues of CT Magazine and was lucky to make the cover of CT’s Happiness theme. I live in Billingham, Stockton-on-Tees but originally come from Constanta, which is in Romania. I enjoy getting my photos taken because once an image has been captured you can go back and look at it, and it is timeless. When my boyfriend Alex Miron came to visit me we decided to have some photographs taken. Alex is 18 and currently lives in Constanta in Romania, but is planning to move to England in June. He has had no professional photos done before in the past, so this was his first time.

Alex Moldovan - Conceptual Portrait Photographer www.facebook.com/Alex.A.M.Photography

My relationship with photography is that of obsession and knowledge seeking. Experimentation and conceptual art is my most adored subject, with results that tell stories not just display subjects. I always try to make every photoshoot a mutual pleasure. In my eyes it's a collaboration between the model and photographer to come up with something they can both call theirs.

Filip Tysander - Watch Designer If you asked Filip Tysander eight years ago what he saw himself doing in the near future, designing wrist watches may not have been the likely answer. Yet in May 2011 he created the designer watch label, Daniel Wellington, a brand only three years into it's infancy and already gracing the counters of department stores, including Britain's iconic luxury powerhouse, Selfridges. Armed with a bachelor degree in business and marketing and a passion for fashion, Filip was in good standing when at 22 he started his first business, an e-commerce store retailing bow-ties and accessories for men. Through this he was able to further develop his business aspirations, drawing on his technical eye for detail and interest in well designed apparel which saw Filip branch out into men's and women's wristwear in early 2011, and the Daniel Wellington brand was born. Asked what he thinks makes a good designer, Filip's answer is grounded and philosophical: “ There is one part that you can educate yourself to become. The other part is about hard work and don’t lose focus on the details to create the perfect result”. Concentrating solely on watches means a new collection twice yearly, with the main line introduced at the Spring industry trade show Baselworld and a second, capsule collection for the Autumn/Winter season. Despite the fast pace of the apparel industry, the design stage of the watches isn't so quick, beginning with a concept painstakingly initiated several seasons ahead. “With our collection, Grace, I started to think about two years before we released it”. Inspiration seized from everyday opportunities and “could be anything from a small piece of material in my apartment to a detail on someone's jacket”. How far has the watch brand taken Filip? “Melbourne”, he replied with a smile. “We exhibited at the International Jewellery Fair there last year.” With a supportive family 100% behind his business venture there's really no surprise why Filip is enjoying the success of a best selling watch collection. His dedication and attitude speaks volumes for what his brand represents: “I'm trying to create my own design”. If the current collection is anything to go by, I think it's already been achieved.

Daniel Wellington

Daniel Wellington is a brand you may well have heard of, specialising in classic, timeless watches, founded by Filip Tysander after joining the industry seven years ago. Although only launching in 2011, Daniel Wellington has already been incredibly well received around the globe. With talks of a possible future collaboration with Swarovski, there could be a lot more on the cards for the brand.

Avinash Conda - Model - California Photography: Nigel Hollingworth Northern California based Avinash Conda may have a full-time job in tech but his real passion lies within modelling. Working at Shutterfly, inspiration comes fairly easy, with him observing daily imagery of fellow models' and photographers' work. From this, Avinash is able to get a good understanding of what does and doesn’t work in a photograph. Along with this, he feels that the result and success of an image has a lot to do with how the model feels in front of the camera. He reveals that, despite shape or size, one should be confident whilst striking a pose. Outdoor location shoots are the models favourite of the bunch, and luckily for him, they also prove to be the area he works in the most.

Bethany Jade Fenton - Fashion Model

At the tender age of 14, Bethany Jade Fenton is already on her way to success. A fashion and catwalk model, she has been in the industry for over five years. After being initially scouted by an agent at only three years, Bethany eventually began modelling at nine, with one of her first assignments being a Sports Direct model. Since then, Bethany has had a rather significant campaign for Smiffys fancy dress, and at the eleven, was recognised around the UK as the face of Moshi Monsters packaging.

Catwalk trained, Bethany has taken to the catwalk several times, walking for Newarks, and Here Come The Girls - where she strutted her stuff for Tammy Girl. The above opportunities have lead to her being approached to walk for a designer in both London and Edinburgh fashion week. For over two years, this talented teenager has been working with photographer, Steve Oatway on various shoots in both studio and on location, where she has successfully built up a massive body of work, leading her to feature as a teen fashion model in Natural Sparkle magazine. There she writes a style file for teens, alongside modelling the latest fashion from the high street.

The future is looking very bright for Bethany Jade Fenton, and it’s clear that she has a promising career in the model industry ahead of her. Model: Bethany Jade Fenton Photographer: Steve Oatway Photography image consent Debbie Harvey (parent)

Photography: Bou Li Lau Photography Assistant: Esther Wade Model: Nailah QX MUAH: Primrose Stiles Twenty year old photographer, Bou Li Lau’s passion developed after she lost her interest for other traditional art mediums. Following this, she began to consider photography as a possible career path to suit her creative personality. Although fashion and beauty are her main callings, she also hopes to develop her skills and experience by working in other areas of imagery. Travelling to other parts of the world also happens to be something this snapper dreams of, with the anticipations of experiencing different cultures and lifestyles, projecting them through her work. Mood-boards and serious planning are two of the key steps that occur before any of Bou’s shoot, meaning each tends to run smoothly, and to plan. Whilst agreeing this is also a necessity for any aspiring photographer, she also shared how significant good communication skills are, too. Simplicity and clean lines are evident through each of Bou’s imagary, however each prove to leave a lasting impact.

About The Photographer: Sam Johnson

Having made the decision to completely change his career Sam decided to follow his love of photography by enrolling on a photography degree course at the Batley School of Art. He has gone on to find and define his own style, picking up some awards along the way. In 2013 he fought off other entries to win the Canon UK Fashion Image Competition (for which he was interviewed on BBC Radio Leeds) and received free passes to London Fashion Week. That same year he was also awarded a merit award from the British Institute of Professional Photography for a portrait of film composer Clint Mansell. Sam has a keen interest in fashion editorial photography and the creative possibilities that can be explored in this genre. His own work is heavily influenced by cinema and the zeitgeist and he likes to weave a narrative into his fashion images and create a back story to give the viewer something to study and make sense of. The images for his London exhibition will be presented as film stills forming an imaginary film with nods to the work of contemporary photographers of Steven Klein, Philip Lorca diCorcia and Gregory Crewdson. Sam also drew influence from the neo-noir film genre and the films of David Lynch, Michael Mann and David Fincher which helped shape his vision in terms of shot composition and colour palette. The exhibition will be set out like a film premiere with a red carpet also present on the night. You can see his Neo-Noir exhibition work at the Old Truman Brewery Gallery in London from July 3rd till July 8th and view more of his work on his website.

Karan Daryanani - Director of Darya London www.daryalondon.co.uk

"As cliche as it may sound, I've always wanted to be the head of a jewellery design house and started the business by myself. After my education in Surrey, I got certified by the Gemological Institute of America and took up an internship to add to my work experience. A year later, I moved to India to set up my dream – my very own jewellery company. Despite the initial hardships of not knowing much about the city or the business side and, more importantly, having no understanding of the native language, I was determined to see my ambitions fulfilled. And so, with much hope and will, I set up my company and grew from there! I've always been fascinated by the brilliance of diamonds. In fact, as embarrassing as it may be, I recall at the age of about 5-6 years, I'd secretly remove the crystals from the chandeliers in our family home. I'd keep these in a little box and admire them, imagining that one day they would make me very rich. Such was my fascination! My mother's family is in the jewellery trade and when we were younger we'd visit them during our holidays. I always loved going to their retail outlets and would ask them question upon question about the trade. So I guess, to a certain extent, my love for jewellery stems from my childhood and I knew it was exactly what I wanted to do and be when I was older."

www.daryalondon.co.uk

What is Your Inspiration behind Darya London? "Our focus is accessories and we're manufacturers of artificial jewellery which I believe is a trend we'll see for the next decade or so. Accessories are becoming far more important in the current markets and I genuinely believe an elegant statement jewellery piece can make a simple outfit look extremely glamorous and unique. I'm constantly inspired by the environment and much of my designing stems from there. However, all the work we do is studio-based where our artisans bring to life the creations and designs I've visualised and commissioned."

What is Darya London? A luxury jewellery house, Darya London simply began as an innocent childhood passion, and has since evolved into a worldwide, established business. Focusing on artificial accessories, the brand design their pieces to be the main focus of each of their customer’s outfits, with inspiration obtained from inspirational, determined people. Launching a new collection is the most time-consuming, stressful part for this independent jewellers, however when it all fits into place, they are able to produce beautiful pieces, such as the Helena Crystal, a personal favourite for Karan.

The Future?

"Darya London is what I've envisioned and am extremely proud of my team for helping me realise my ambitions. These past few months have been extremely exciting but this is only just the beginning! Stay tuned!" Want to keep up to date with Darya London or fancy treating yourself to some new jewels? Head over to the links below:

Hi, my name is Kevin Chiswell and I live in Plymouth Devon. I have had an interest in photography for years starting with landscapes but over the last couple of years I have been more involved with portrait photography which is what I really enjoy. I have had the pleasure of being involved with a local calendar mainly working on the event photography. I was keen to get a photo in the calendar so worked on my portfolio and this year it paid off as I got the main page for April. I have been lucky to meet a lot of talented photographers and models and work alongside them where ideas are bounced around and shoots planned. I enjoy studio work but enjoy location work more when the weather allows. I still like to take landscapes and abstract but working with people can be more rewarding. The image in this article was taken this February during the recent bad weather; it was freezing, very windy and the location was a derelict building which is a great location with several areas to shoot. I had the great pleasure to work with a great model Caperucita Roja who was not put off by the poor weather conditions, always checking if the images we produced were what I wanted out of this shoot. A real pleasure to work with.

Kris Karl - Photographer - South London www.kriskarl.com

"I am Kris Karl: a portrait, fashion and wedding photographer from South London, now working from West Sussex.

I am relatively new to photography as I have only been shooting models for around 14 months. I got into photography by accident. My mum was really into photography when I was young. I have been a musician for the last ten years and it was only when a break in music left me a bit bored that I picked up a camera.

In a short time, I have been lucky enough to work with some incredible creatives. All in the pursuit of building a portfolio of consistent work. Now I am more focused on working with stylists and designers as well as campaigns for charities. Ideally I would like to be shooting for companies like FCUK or River Island amongst other high street fashion chains. I'd also love to do some celebrity portraiture.

Photographer: Kris Karl Model: Coco Ardagh MUAH: Jess at Rogue Lipstick

I am very much a location man. I find the studio to be very uninspiring and sterile. I feel I get a lot more creative in the great outdoors.

I am very lucky to have such a supportive wife. She is my assistant on a lot of shoots and I genuinely couldn't ask for more from her. My work is greatly improved by having her involved in it. She is also gathering a lot of pace with her own photography. When it comes to pre shoot rituals, I have the basic gear checks, but that's standard. Other than that I try to refrain from looking through others work too close to a shoot as it could subconsciously contaminate the outcome. I have had my work ripped off and I wouldn't want to make someone else feel how I felt.

To me, a good photographer is the same as any good artist. The ability to channel expression through their work. If your work has a purpose, to me you're half way there. My favourite shoot? It changes from week to week, but any time every one involved is having a laugh then its all good. My biggest inspirations are Emily Soto and Amanda Diaz. They both produce breathtaking work. I just want to say thanks to everyone at CT for featuring my work."

I always wanted to be a model, I had a few sessions which were a great experience for me, and I really love it! I'm 28 years old which I know is too late to start in this kind of job so I started to think what I want to do next. Fortunately I had a second passion in my life. Hairdressing. I wanted to combine my two passions, hairdressing and modelling in one and I started to work on photo sessions as a hairstylist. I know modelling inside out and every model is like a friend to me. It is team work but nothing works without passion.

Marc Hayden - Fashion / Portrait Photographer - London www.marchaydenphotography.com

Im Marc Hayden, 34, from London, and I'm on a mission to become one of the most respected fashion/portrait photographers in the world. Did you always want to be a photographer? I studied fine art at school and graphics at uni. It was always in me to become a photographer, but only in the last year have I decided that I now have the ability and skill to make it happen. What style of photography are you involved in? I'm focused on fashion and portrait, but I love shooting cityscapes, too. Have you worked with any well known brands? I have done some work with some very cool boutique brands like Never Fully Dressed and King & Queen Clothing. My dream client? Hmmm…Stussy would be nice! Do you prefer working on location or in a studio? Love both, but location can be more interesting/challenging. What do your friends and family think of you being a photographer? My fiancée loves it. Of course she does, haha! Have you been to any particularly exotic locations for a shoot? NYC! What preparations do you do before a shoot? Check batteries and memory cards 10 times over! What do you think makes a good photographer? Good question….it's a combination of confidence, people skills, camera skills, and creative thinking. Knowing how to compose and frame a picture are key, as is the ability to edit. What's your favourite shoot you have ever done? Did a submission piece recently, and the team and location made it. Greenwich Park great weather, great atmosphere. Who inspires you? Any photography I see that makes me stop. It makes me want to be better.

"Beauty in Urban Decay" Rebecca Norman - Hair Stylist, Stylist, Director

My name is Rebecca and I am a fully qualified hairstylist, I also found that I love every aspect of this industry from styling to planning and directing photoshoots of every kind. It is something I have always been interested in from a young age and my family say I've found my calling! I love how I can change a whole look with my creativity, it is hard work but also very fun & rewarding. I am involved in every sort of work in the industry from a night out, studio shoots, fashion, catwalks and location shoots, I especially enjoy working on someone's wedding & being apart of there day as there is something magical about making people a princess for the day by enhancing there natural beauty. Preparation for a shoot of my own would usually involve getting together with the amazing MUA Tasmyn to collaborate our ideas for hair makeup, styling and locations we would then both draw up ideas & make the shoot have a story & meaning. Tasmyn studied to be an MUA for a nearly 2 years before she went on to continue training and working for illamasque, she is the most amazing MUA I have ever met with an extremely creative mind, nothing is to much for Tasmyn she would never turn down a challenge and has gone far with her work, we work perfectly as a team and together. I think we are good at our jobs because we are strong minded, have a lot of vision, extremely creative and believe in our ideas & what we do, we are defiantly not afraid to go that extra mile to that awkward location or go that step further with hair & makeup to insure the perfect picture. This shoot was my shoot & ideas and I'm very proud of it. The photographer I used on this shoot is Nathan mzumara he had been interested in photography from early childhood & has a strong passion for expressing himself through the art of photography, he is very talented. The model is Charlotte, I have worked with her on a number of shoots. Charlotte is brilliant to work with and takes direction well. As well as modelling she is also a trained dancer & the only person I had in mind when I came up with this shoot as you can see she has made it work with every pose and situation I asked of her. I will finish by saying I am very lucky to be doing something I am very passionate about with new opportunities everyday, I'm very excited about my future in this industry and to work with many more great people. Would also like to thank Sean at CT for showing my work.

"Wrong Side of the Lens"

I had been thinking about doing an urban themed shoot for a while and trying to use aspects of what it was like in Sheffield when I was growing up. Sheffield is a city with an immense underground culture of graffiti and pirate radio stations.

I decided I wanted to use a female model ideally with tattoos to add a touch a grit and attitude, so I asked Tasmyn my makeup artist to model for me. Tasmyn had never modelled before and was extremely apprehensive but after some persuasion agreed. We ended up spending the afternoon in a disused factory behind one of Sheffield’s old night clubs. Tasmyn made a great model and I got the shots I wanted. We were both pleased with the final images and I now have another model!

Trixi - Make Up Artist

07788878521 - makeupbytrixi@gmail.com

I'm from Cork in Ireland originally, and moved to London about a year ago. I am a qualified make up artist with a background in Travel Sales and Customer Service. My name is Fiona but I was nicknamed Trixi a long time ago, it stuck and that's the name I use for makeup. I am currently living near Brick Lane in East London and have a amazingly supportive boyfriend, Reece. I love music, fashion and film. I also love shopping, especially for trainers, my addiction!

MUA: MakeUpByTrixi Photographer: Shamira Crivellaro Models: Tyler Wynter, Jordan Thomas, Reece Charlton, Stuart I always had an interest in makeup and hair but ended up going into a travel sales job after college. After six years of hitting targets every week I felt like I needed a change in pace. I took three months leave from my job to come to London and do my ITEC in makeup at The London Makeup School. During that time I decided not to go back to Ireland so I quit my job and here I am in London pursuing a career in makeup! I am quite new to my makeup career so at the moment I am happy to take on all sorts of work to gain experience. I love to do photoshoots where the themes are interesting to me. I also like doing regular makeup for parties or occasions because I like to make people feel good about themselves.

I do some work with the Pro Team at The London MakeUp School which I love. I've done makeup for a BAFTA nominee's wife for the awards ceremony. I have also worked under makeup artist Nora Nona at the Bernard Chandran show at London Fashion Week. I also got to work with Australian company Cherry Blooms at the Professional Beauty show in London, and I was also lucky enough to work a London Fashion week under Nora Nora on the Bernard Chandran show. I really enjoy getting out and about in London as there are so many great locations to shoot at. One of my favourites is the Queen Vic tunnel near Waterloo. I love Brick Lane for all its art, it looks great in pictures. I am hugely into music, mostly hiphop, grime and house so am hoping to do more music videos and album cover shoots soon. I was always quite creative and into beauty and fashion so I think it was inevitable I ended up here! Everyone thinks it's great getting freebies. Last weekend I did my boyfriend's mum and sisters makeup for a BBQ and I'm always willing to help any friend or family member when they need some beautifying! I have everything imaginable in my kit from needle and thread to hairspray. I just love Illamasqua translucent powder for all skin tones and I find that Benefit foundations work amazingly well as a light foundation with great coverage. For personal use I am obsessed with Mac Rebel lipstick and Magenta liner, I think mostly because it matches my pink hair! I did some work with Cherry Blooms and their microfibre mascara which is absolutely amazing, a great alternative to eyelash extensions or false eyelashes.

Christian Knightleigh - Photographer - Manchester

Twenty-three year old Christian Knightleigh has shared a love for the art of photography for the past seven years. Although publishing his work online is a fairly recent step, he has already received a great response from fellow photography fanatics. Fashion photography is this snapper’s focus point, with Karen Millen and Louis Vuitton being the ideal, dream clients to collaborate with. When asked what makes a good photographer, he revealed that emotion need not only come from the model within the lens, but the individual holding the camera, too. On the inspiration side of things, for him, it materializes from almost everything and everyone within view. Christian’s bold, modern, colourful imagery is bound to make an impact in the fashion industry in the coming future.

Christensen - Designer Satchels

Christensen was launched by Neil Christensen in 2013 and joined by Kathy in 2014, who have collectively lived in Copenhagen, London, New York, Tokyo, and San Francisco during the past 10 years and drawn inspiration from all these environments.

Inspiration and Ideas

Christensen is a brand with a story to tell. Travels and adventures in the likes of Copenhagen, London, New York, Tokyo, and San Francisco have led the brand to feature a great deal of cultural inspiration.

The business came about thanks to a spare-time bike venture, when an interest in stylish bicycle accessories emerged. A minimalistic satchel was then created, and the rest, as they say, is history. With the generous range of satchel designs proving to be a roaring success, Christensen are now looking into producing further leather goods for their customers, such as wallets, sleeves and totes, all to be revealed at some point in the year. Inspiration for the brand emerges from simplicity and the ability to find inspiration from life both of which prove to help acquire the clean, detailed lines in each of the designs.

sales@christensenbags.com

The Future

Christensen have just launched a larger collection three weeks ago but have not shown this collection yet. Before this launch, they have been fortunate to receive lots of fantastic input from buyers and customers, allowing time to prototype, test and tweak the designs for months. They use the prototypes all the time and you may just see one when they hit up US tradeshows this year. Whenever a designer needs to solve something they prefer to look for simple solutions blending form and function. Although clean lines are a brand staple, it is not as easy as one may think, but an immensely satisfying process. Christensen have worked with the incredibly talented photographer Jay Stebbins and stylist Kat Yeh on their latest lookbook, so make sure to check out the website.

All the team here just love Christensen satchels so if you’re on the hunt for a versatile, highquality bag then we recommend you go check out www.christensenbags.com.

Trista Taylor - Model - Kansas City, Missouri My name is Trista Taylor and I am based in Kansas City, Missouri. I am originally from Wisconsin but moved to Kansas City for schooling at the University of Kansas City - Missouri. I am currently pursuing a double major in Oboe Performance and Business, and do modeling on the side as a hobby of mine. One of my teachers said I should try modeling, so I decided to go for it. I never really thought I could until I went to my second photo shoot. I have always watched America’s Next Top Model and wished I could, and during this photo shoot I felt more confident than I had ever been in my entire life. It was exhilarating to change my look and persona into an entirely different person to be captured on film. I typically do more commercial modelling, otherwise I love fashion-forward shoots. I like to work on location and in studio, as long as it’s not just a plain white background. I like to interact with the environment around me; it’s more fun that way. My family thought it was really interesting that I became a model and started doing photo shoots. They were a bit weary of the photographers at first, but have come to be proud of me as my modelling has progressed. The furthest place I have traveled for a shoot was Lawrence, KS. If expenses were paid I would be willing to go further. I don’t really do much prep before a shoot, I just make sure not to eat a whole lot because otherwise I feel bloated. During or after shoots I will make sure to eat and drink plenty of water. I believe being able to be versatile makes a good model. I have done plenty of shoots with straight hair and curly hair, but when a makeup artist changes up my hair and makeup to something crazy, I work it just as I would any other time. It’s interesting to be able to not recognize yourself in a photo except for a couple of features. My favourite shoot I have ever done is when a hair artist made my hair stand up like it had a bump in it all the way back to my neck, like a puffy Mohawk. The makeup artist then made my face look very gothic and fierce. It made me feel like a different person and I felt like I took different pictures because I was masked behind a different persona.
