i-act - Understanding and Promoting Positive Mental Health and Wellbeing in the Workplace The i-act course for employees aims to: •
give participants a greater understanding of mental health and wellbeing issues and recognise when further help and support may be required.
•
provide some practical tools for managing stress, anxiety and low mood, and for promoting positive wellbeing to help build resilience.
•
offer guidance and advice for how we may connect with others who may be experiencing a mental health or wellbeing issue.
•

SFA: Suicide First Aid Through Understanding Suicide Intervention Teaching the theory and practice of suicide intervention skills that can be applied in any professional or personal setting, captured in a one-day event accredited by City and Guilds of London. Course content: SFAUSI is comprised of 4 parts, each approximately 90 minutes duration. The programme teaches and practices the skills and knowledge needed to identify someone who may be thinking about suicide and competently intervene to help create suicide-safety as a first aid approach. Trauma The training will explore trauma theory and how the Acceptance of a trauma model offers the potential for recovery. Training Outcomes: •
Increased awareness of how trauma impacts on behaviours and life choices

Increased awareness of trauma, attachment, behaviour and triggers

Increased awareness of developmental trauma, toxic stress and adverse childhood experiences
•
Increased awareness of neuroscience research in relation to trauma

Increased awareness of the principles and practices of trauma informed approaches

Workforce are motivated and inspired to adapt their interactions with people through trauma informed practice
