How you behave when you’re angry depends on how well you’re able to identify and cope with your feelings, and how you’ve learned to express them.

The workshop is semi-interactive and is aimed at anyone looking to gain a better understanding of anger. Delivery: 1.5 hour workshop, mixed delivery of Zoom and in-person.

1.6 Understanding Self-Harm Rates of self-harm in the UK have increased over the past decade and are amongst the highest in Europe. However, it still remains a much misunderstood issue.

This workshop will look at what comes under the umbrella of ‘self-harm’ and will explore some of the many possible reasons why some people harm themselves.

Self-harm is when an individual hurts themselves as a way of dealing with very difficult feelings, painful memories or overwhelming situations and experiences.

Additionally, we will explore the role of professionals and services, discuss how someone who self-harms can reduce the risks, and look at the types of support which are useful.

There are lots of different forms of self-harming. Some people use the same one all the time, other people hurt themselves in different ways at different times.

Delivery: 1.5 hour workshop, mixed delivery of Zoom and in-person.

Good mental wellbeing doesn’t mean you’re always happy or unaffected by your experiences, but poor mental wellbeing can make it more difficult to cope with daily life.

The ‘5 ways to Wellbeing’ are a set of evidence-based actions. The workshop will help you learn more about the ‘5 Ways to Wellbeing’ and explore the ways in which we can incorporate these 5 areas in our day-to-day life. Delivery: 1.5 hour workshop, mixed delivery of Zoom and in-person.
